Recently I visited my local branch of Currys in order to purchase a new laptop to replace my rather sluggish and out of date machine.
I went to the store with a particular product in mind, which I had seen advertised online.
I was attended to by Elliot who had an impressive overall knowledge of the subject of I.T. as well as of the I.T. products available at the store.
After some questions regarding the required capabilities of a potential new laptop, Elliot quickly narrowed the field down to two machines, one Acer and the other HP (neither of which were the machine I had originally intended to buy), and explained their respective specifications in terms of processor, graphics, memory, storage and connectivity, and why the laptop which I was originally interested in would in all probability not meet my needs.
After weighing up the virtues of each of these laptops, I decided on the HP computer, which has a superb performance and is a pleasure to work on.
I am very grateful to Elliot for providing me with the most appropriate and optimally equipped laptop rather than the one that I had initially assumed would be adequate.

Eight members of staff on view , one dealing with a customer, seven huddled in groups talking. We knew what we wanted but just needed a bit of extra help. Not one bit of interaction, no eye contact, no “do you need any help “. Came out and will drive to Scarborough. Can see why stores (not just Currys) are closing and online taking over. So sad guys, two of you actually said good morning so thought better of you. The two stars are yours.
Amazing staff! They helped me find the perfect Macbook for me and without their help I wouldn’t of found the model that I’m extremely pleased with at a fantastic price. They went above and beyond to make sure I was getting the right device for me and even stayed overtime! Sooo happy with my purchase, thank you Tom and the rest of the staff that helped me today.
