This company is absolutely unreliable and made me waste a lot of time.
Booked an appointment to fix an appliance (oven), the engineer came and in 5mins decided that one part had to be replaced. After placing the order it took weeks for the part to be delivered to me. Since then we booked multiple appointments with engineers who never showed up, in all these weeks no one from Glotech ever called me to sort it out, I was always the one having to chase them, clearly they couldn’t care less as the fee was already paid in advance.
Long story short after weeks of failed appointments (they do not even know the engineers they work with) I had to sort it out myself with a different technician who fixed my oven in 1h… as the part Glotech claimed as broken was indeed perfectly functional, the issue was a different one altogether.
So to recap, they made a wrong diagnostic and did not bother assist me in booking the repairs with an engineer.
This all useless process took almost 2 months… I have no idea how this company is in business still.
I am leaving 1 star as at least I got my money refunded.

I was super pleased to have found Glotech, a locally-based company that offered a set call out price to look at my oven, establish the issue and pay for the part/s and included return visits, also six months warranty on parts installed. This gave me the confidence to try to get my oven fixed as it would be more cost effective and also better for the environment than going out and buying a new oven, also I actually really like my oven the thought of getting used to a new one was off putting.

Booking with Glotech was really simple, I did it online, received the confirmation and the engineer turned up when he was supposed to, was communicative with me about what he believed the problem was and what he was going to do next.

Payment was simple with a card reader so I didn’t have to go and get cash out, and then I was kept informed as to what the next stage was by customer care. They followed up after the repair to keep me up to date. All in all an excellent service, one for which I will return for if I have any other appliances I need repairing.

I made an online booking for an oven repair and received email confirmation of my slot. On the day (8 days later), nobody turned up. When I called the offices of the local partners I was told that Glotech had never sent my booking through to them.

When I called Glotech the person I spoke to stated that the email confirmation I had received was NOT in fact a confirmation, and that the email stated this – although it does not (though it may be hidden in the terms and conditions). So beware.

In addition both the people I spoke to at Glotech were disinterested and downright rude. I asked them politely if they’d like to apologise for failing to honour the booking, but they did not.

During the second call we were cut off (at their end, not mine), and they never called back.

In summary, totally useless company with unpleasant customer service. Better to book directly with the engineers.
