So I did a really silly thing… My TV is wall mounted on a swivel bracket and whilst repositioning the TV away from the sun I ended up pulling on the HDMI cable connected to my Xbox Series X, Next thing I know, the xbox isn’t showing a picture… A quick look online shows this is a common fault with the HDMI port on Xbox Series X’s (Hmmmmm!!!) and Microsoft charge PS300 to fix it!!!! So I looked online and first went to Powermend who said it would not be able to be done for a month (Not much good if you have a teenager) So I looked online and found 1066 Computers, Well I would recommend these guys over Powermend any day… Found down an unassuming back alley type place. These guys are anything but back alley. They quoted PS75 for it to be fixed (new HDMI port soldered on, internal clean) They said it could take up to a week because of the work load they had but that was fine for me. I was a bit concerned I didn’t get a receipt, but after a week as promised, the phone rang, and my console was repaired. Its clean and works as it always used to, and it was an affordable service. I’d highly recommend them for computer and console repairs. They also sell games, affordable PC’s, and other stuff, so well worth a look if you’re near the priory meadows area.

Fast, friendly and reliable service. Fixed within 4 days including weekend at a good price. My Laptop was slow and froze and my own attempt at repair made matters worse that locked me out completely and risked losing my work. Matt did a great job and saved all of my important work. My laptop is now running like new. It was a great relief from a very anxious period. Good value and I would use him again.

Just been there today and got a collectible figure for what I think was a good price. I’m an English teacher here with my students from Brazil and the shop seems to be student friendly, so that’s a plus. I’ll surely be back soon.
