The guy at the store was really helpful. I bought a laptop off ebay and it would not start and it was making a beeping sound. The seller advised that it could be an issue with the RAM and said to open it up and make it secure. I tried to take the back off the laptop, but one of the screws was on tight. I took it to Repair IT who used their screw driver to undo the screw. When he removed the back he found the RAM was actually soldered. He checked all the connections and the laptop would still not turn on. He advised that laptop would most likely need a new motherboard, but he recommended returning it to the seller instead, which I’m going to do. Thank you very much for all your help and advice!

Absolute scammer. For this shop to be placed in the STUDENT Union is diabolical. Had a problem with my MacBook screen, he replaced the screen and a day after it went black and he refused to fix it and said it was my problem. PS400 down, I then had to go to Apple to get it properly fixed. Luckily they provided me with the paperwork of the issues with his instalment and screen so I could get my money back through the bank. Do not waste your money here. Also know a friend who’s phone screen came completely away from the phone after he ‘fixed’ it.
