My inkjet printer was out of action and trust me that’s not good. I did a google search for printer repair Sheffield and I found the Real Computer Shop. Now I remember sometime ago- 2008 to be precise, they did a really good job for me.

I gave them a call and a very nice man called Jamie picked up the phone. He asked what was wrong and he tried to diagnose the problem over the phone to save me money. Trust me he was super helpful, he suggested looking for paper jams, looking to see if the printer cartridge had been put in correctly. Then he suggested a printer clean which you can do via your printer setting on your PC. When that didn’t work I suggested I came in.

I made my way down there and I recognised the man who did my job all those years ago. His name is Nick. I introduced myself as James Bond. I said they’d done a job for me beforehand and he found me in the system. So my records were updated.

He said they charge PS25 for a diagnostic but it may be cheaper just to buy a new printer. He had a look and then took it to Jamie in the back. Jamie mentioned that he’d spoken to someone today and I mentioned it was me.

Nick was super helpful and after some testing the printer was working perfectly. I asked him how much? He refused to take payment.

Now I couldn’t walk away without some kind of reward so I decided to buy a cartridge from them. Would you believe it was 1/3rd lower than the price I paid previously from other shops? This is first class tip top quality customer service.

So the usual questions.

Would I go there again? In a heartbeat.

Are they worth the money? After this level of service, I’d say good value at 10 times the price.

Would I recommend them to anyone else? Of course.

What would I advise the public? If you have a problem with your PC take it to see them. I promise you that like me, you’ll be shaken but not stirred.

These Guys are the Real deal! We bought a gaming PC for Christmas. It was a big deal for us. Our 11 year old is very Tech savvy so this had to be a carefully considered purchase for us. We carefully researched the prices at all the usual large PC suppliers, and were pleasently surprised. Here was a quality PC supplier at a competitive price here on our doorstep in Sheffield. After many many telephone calls, the boys at Real were incredibly patient. They took hours to explain everything and what the specifications mean in practice – even down to a component level! However, at the last minute and after agreeing a specification over many telephone calls, I changed my mind. Rather than get frustrated with me, they again helped me through the process to find the right solution. To top it all off, they personally delivered the PC to us and tested it for us in our house. This was so that it was all fully working and ready for my boy to boot it up on Christmas morning without any issues. Without any effort from me, it worked flawlessly at 6am on Christmas morning without any furrowed brows! Try getting that level of service from Curry’s et-al. To get this piece-of-mind and excellent customer care and advice at this very fair price is something of a rarity these days. Try calling one of the big brands and see if they actually pick up the phone and actually take ownership and hand hold you to the very end. Highly recommended. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and have time to explain the issues face to face or over the phone. In particular, Nick was great explaining to me the options and even offered a data recovery for my personal data despite my laptop being fully broken.
