I waited all day until 8pm when it said it would arrive by. Suffice to say the delivery did not turn up and instead was cancelled and rescheduled to 08/12.
I contacted Hughes regarding the huge inconvenience, lack of communication and to ensure that the delivery would be made this time as I would be taking the day off from work AGAIN especially for the delivery. They did not actually read the email and sent me a generic template response which seemed to have been copied and pasted.
The delivery was not made on 08/12 either which means I had wasted 2 days of holiday at work to take a delivery with a company whose customer service is non existent and they just don’t care.
I then requested a refund on 08/12 because enough was enough of wasting my time with no help offered and no real communication. It is now 15/12 and they have still not issued a refund to me a week later, stating that the refund will be issued when the goods are returned to them.
I have lost income at work, the delivery was never made to me and has never left their chosen courier so why should I have to wait longer than a week for a product I have had no interaction with to be delivered back to you, when you choose to use a useless and unreliable courier company?!
Whenever the product comes back to you is between you and your courier company and has nothing to do with me because I have never even set eyes on the product.
I have sent several messages through the Amazon app to “Hughes Electrical” and have had nothing but generic copied and pasted messages back which do not address anything in the messages, do not help or even acknowledge that there’s been such a disappointing and non existent showcase of customer service…ironically from the customer services department.
They are holding on to my money without providing a service for no good reason and expect me to wait whilst their chosen incompetent “overnight” courier company deliver their product back to them. Lord knows how long that will take considering the “overnight trackable service” couldn’t successfully deliver to me in over 10 days let alone overnight.
I will never shop with them again and would advise to avoid at all costs as they do not even have the decency to read a message before copying and pasting a template back to you with no help or resolution.
On one occasion the call centre staff decided to pick an argument!
Please Hughes, at least attempt to invest in some less hostile front line staff, as it tends to influence a less than favourable opinion.
