Took my frozen laptop to Hot Chip Computers to see if anything could be done with it. Gareth said he would have a look at it to see what was wrong with it. He called me the following day to tell me that one of the hard drives was gone but told me that the cost for repair and value of the laptop were about the same. With the laptop operating on Windows 10, which stops being supported in October 2025, Gareth advised that it might be better to purchase another laptop and he would transfer the data over. I enquired if he had any second hand laptops and he told me that he could find one suitable online. Following day he informed me that he had found one operating on Windows 11 at a great price. Few days later I returned to collect it and everything was transferred. When I got home I found that my printer would not link to the laptop. Contacted Gareth for help and he logged in remotely to my laptop to try and find a driver. Turned out that my printer was that old that there was no driver available for Windows 11. Told him that I would buy another printer and Gareth told me that if I had any problems connecting just to give him a call. Fortunately there was a good idiot guide and I was able to install and connect.
All in all a super experience and I can highly recommend Gareth as a knowledgable, pleasant and a real people person.

so had a broken port within my laptop and contacted hot chip computers about the issue reply’s were very fast and professional while my laptop was getting repaired there was constant communication very friendly and helpful and definitely know what he is doing as my laptop was a difficult fix to say the least but pulled through he will 100% be getting any future business i have very genuine man!! couldn’t recommend this guy enough

After being quoted upward of PS240 I was told I’d be better buying a new laptop, that was until I visited Hot Chip Computers!! A quick look and was able to tell me what the main problem was and how to fix. Was done within a week and laptop like brand new 😀 informative of work carried out and reasonably priced. I will definitely be using Hot Chip for any future I.T problems! Thank you.
