iPod Touch 7 rebuilt piece by piece!

Originally I came to Daffy with my iPod Touch 7 with a screen issue. We both thought initially that the screen was damaged due to overheating or being dropped but this was far from the truth!

When Daffy opened it up it was revealed to me that this wasn’t a genuine iPod Touch but a bad refurbished one from China. It turns out they had used a 5th gen model and did a poor job at turning it into a 7th gen. The battery was glued with a thin tiny adhesive, various screws and parts missing and a poor soldering job on the motherboard. This resulted in my iPod being a nightmare to repair.

I am very pleased to say that Daffy did a fantastic job of fixing my iPod. Effectively rebuilding it piece by piece, I now have more or less a brand new iPod thanks to him! I was very impressed with the level of work and detail that went into fixing my device.

It was important for me to get my iPod fixed as it contained a years worth of my data, from my photos, videos and music and I’m happy that Daffy was able to bring it all back!!

Amazing service. I had an S21+ which got water damaged whilst on holiday. I had a lot of valuable data on the phone which hadn’t backed up to Samsung Cloud for some reason. Daffy was really honest up front about what might be achievable and said he would do everything he possibly could to rescue the data for me. He kept me up to date with progress as he went through the job and I left him to it! I collected the device yesterday and he has managed to recover all of the data (to the phone and a seperate USB stick), has got the phone working perfectly again (both cameras, screen, face id, etc, etc) and it looks brand new. All original Samsung parts have been used too. I genuinely cannot recommend Firebird and Daffy highly enough. I cannot imagine that anybody else would have put the time and care into this job that Daffy did and the feeling of getting things back that I thought were lost forever is amazing. Thanks Daffy.

When my phone crashed after 4 years, and I couldn’t get it to switch back on properly and the cloud back up also seemed to have failed, I thought I had lost all my data. I was devastated as I thought I had lost some very precious, sentimental memories. I thought all hope was lost, as I had even reset my phone to factory settings in a vain attempt to start it up again.
I brought the phone in to Daffy anyway, having very low hope that anything could be rescued. To my amazement, after a few weeks, Daffy was able to recover not only thousands of photos, but also documents and audio files, as well as contacts and text messages. All in all, the total data recovered exceeded 50 Gb. I was astonished, and hugely relieved. All delivered with his usual friendly customer service! Would definitely come here again if have any further issues with my phone.
