What I say here might seem irrelevant at first, but please hear me out. As someone who is disabled with chronic illnesses, I only get to leave home once or twice every couple of months (always using my powered wheelchair). But when I DO go into the heart of my hometown, I always save some time to visit Cex. I cope with many health issues by playing games & I’ve built up a fairly large collection of games (whether it’s games for PS1/PS2/PS5, Nintendo DS/3DS, GameBoy/GameBoy Advance or Nintendo Switch). I’ve been able to purchase a lot of these games at such good value & quite a few of those games are now my absolute favourites, helping me cope with the chronic pain. I’ve even been able to purchase a few rarer games that are like diamond dust for game collectors, again for a really good price. I’ll also say that I find the staff to be very friendly & so accommodating, plus the store itself is very easily accessible for disabled persons to manoeuvre around inside & out. I even appreciate that I can use the Cex website to check out what games are newly available in store, including rare “collectible” games, as it saves me the trouble of hunting for games they don’t have in stock. 100% worth having a good browse, for sure. Apologies for making this review such a long one, but I had to give my full & honest opinion, as this place truly deserves some recognition.

Was just in the store and the person that served me only acknowledged my presence enough to scan the item I was purchasing and accept my payment, now I apologize in advance if they were autistic at all but I got no eye contact and they barely said two words. I tried to be friendly but much to my disappointment was almost completely ignored. It makes me sad to have to write a review like this as I know how tough customer service can be.

Have bought some good gear , camera lenses, blu ray player, Bose headphones, PlayStation 3 lots of dvds , always mint! Bought aniPad Air 2nd gen but when I used it found it had screen fog on one side which wasn’t noticed upon purchase, I can live with it but just take the time to check all the basics and keep that receipt!
