Went in to purchase a mouse from these people and at the time honestly the staff did not seem to interested in answering any questions related to it. After browsing the store for 10 minutes and decided on a purchase I was advised it was card only I then decided to pay with card to be told the internet was down (all day) and BASEO was not able to take any payment but asked me to try anyway.. I paid using card and was told it was not authorized due to a internet issue and eventually left with no item or a way to pay for one.

Next day I realised I had been charged and contacted BASEO to ask for a refund. After around 5 calls, multiple emails, bank screenshots and 2 months later I still found my self out of pocket.

Dropped in store today because at this point it seemed to be un-sorted and reading other reviews its a possible trend for this company.

While asking the only person available to deal with the issue in store what I can do he said the ONLY and best option is to email us. After explaining I have done that and the assistant knowing as I had been emailing him directly he still suggested contacting them via email after a 2 month dispute.

I then suggested that it was very un-professional that I had made the effort to pop in about a refund I have been waiting on for months and your best suggestion is to send yet again another email.

After suggesting how about I take the product I have technically paid for as its still in the shop window the assistant suggested he can call the store owner and confirm. Note I have been sat inside the store now for around 20 minutes being told email is the ONLY way forward.

I had to wait around 10-20 minutes for the assistant to clear up with a customer at the desk before any of this was done while another assistant just sat there playing with there phone.

I have to say me and my 4 children had a great time hanging around in the store dealing with a very sarcastic and un-professional assistant that appeared to think the whole thing was just a joke.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS DO NOT LET THESE GUYS GET THE SATISFACTION OF TALKING TO YOU LIKE CHILDREN

The staff on the ground level are excellent and really passionate about video games/collector items. Kudos to them. Really nice people. They offered me a perfectly reasonable chunk of cash for my entire collection of retro games and consoles based on a spreadsheet I devised around CeX’s offerings and their own knowledge on the market + eBay resale values. I knew I could get far more on the market individually but they hands down gave me the best offer for a quick and easy alternative. Unfortunately, management based in Stratford refused to offer more than half of what they quoted under any circumstance. It was all or nothing. To think I could’ve probably made 4x what they ended up offering (talking complete Gamecube, SNES and N64 games) if I put a little more leg work in myself. I brought the collection to Baseo with the hopes that a smaller store would see the value in a win-win deal. Management overrode a great business decision and decided they don’t like games OR money. They don’t want stock or cash. What is the point of this business?

Owner now comments saying I have reviewed the wrong store. Funny because I’ve never been to the Stratford store and I sold an N64 to an employee of the MK store. Ridiculous.

Spent PS18 on PS5 game, got home and it won’t install. looking at the disc it looks like it has disc rot. I don’t drive and don’t live in MK so it will cost me just to return the game. Refused to just refund the money if I sent some evidence via email that it didn’t work. So I’m going to have to spend time and money to get there just to prove to them that a game they claim to have tested but clearly haven’t doesn’t work. Frustrating.
