I would much rather spend PS100 more on Amazon than spend another penny with CCL Computers. My first experience with them was deeply disappointing, and I won’t be making that mistake again.
Don’t repeat my mistake by shopping with CCL Computers.
6/8/24: Ordered an ASUS gaming monitor.
7/8/24: It was delivered, and I immediately noticed a dead pixel right in the center of the screen. I decided to return the monitor the next day for a refund under their 14-day policy.
12/8/24: CCL received the monitor. I was informed they needed to inspect it before processing the refund and that I should call back by 15/8/24 if I didn’t receive a refund email (everything I returned was sealed and brand new–how long could it possibly take to inspect a monitor?)
15/8/24: Called in the morning and was told the inspection would happen today. Five hours later, I called again and spoke to Joshua, who mentioned that some devices had been inspected and refund confirmation emails would be sent out. When I asked if my monitor had been inspected, he avoided the question and gave vague responses. He then claimed he couldn’t contact the Returns team due to a queue and because he was working from home (seriously?), but he would try to follow up–again, empty promises with no action. I called again, spent 20 minutes on hold, only to be told by an automated message that they were now closed. This is a disgraceful level of customer service. They’re quick to take your money but evasive when it comes to process returns in a timely manner.
I’m exhausted from dealing with this incompetent team. The more I try to get answers, the more they avoid me. It’s appalling service, and I regret choosing a local seller over Amazon. I will never make that mistake again, and I’ll be sure to warn others about this dishonest and unreliable company. The moment they received my return, I should have received an email confirming my refund, but instead, I’m left waiting for someone to “inspect” a brand new monitor that I returned within two days of purchase.
I will wait a bit more and if they don’t respect the consumer rights, I will report this incident to Trading Standards UK, the Ombudsman Association, and request a chargeback from my bank.
If you order something, be prepared to ring them to find out what’s going on. They won’t tell you if you’ve ordered something that’s out of stock, you just have to wait, or ring them to find out what’s going on. And pay attention to the dispatch email to check what they’re sending is what you ordered.
I had an issue with the item I bought and RMAing it seems to have sent it into a black hole. I have had one automated email, and after that any updates have been from me emailing customer support to find out what’s going on.
Update: Email sent to customer service with RMA in. Again…
