P3 Computer Services Ltd in Morecambe | Best Phone, Laptop, and Computer Repair Services at Affordable Prices | Quick Fixes

Sent my laptop in to repair around the end of August for a broken fan controller on the motherboard which needed to be sent to a specialist company – I was quoted a fixed price of PS120 plus parts. In the end I was charged PS300 for them to solder the wires directly onto the board and cover in wax + unspecified “extra fixes”. When I got the laptop back (after a month) it lasted all of two days before being plugged in and making an audible “pop” which resulted in the laptop turning off and having to be sent off for another repair which this time has taken all the way up to November. ( The laptop has been with them for Months at this point) – thankfully this was done for free. Yet there’s been no transparency though this partnered company as to what they’ve done

P3 themselves have been nice, the shop is clean and staff are lovely – but due to the company they sent my computer off too and the overprice, lack of transparency and the sheer length of time it’s taken to get the laptop back. I can’t in all conscience recommend this company for anything other than simple repairs.

I don’t want to give a flat 1/5 due to the fact that the actual P3 shop people where lovely but that doesn’t change the fact that my experience was stressful and overall a S***Show

Edit: just checked getting home and the people who repaired it hadn’t even plugged the battery in – it took me 5 seconds upon getting home to realise due to the fact that there was no battery simple in the task bar.

So as while I did give them the benefit of the doubt with a 2/5 this is being downgraded to 1/5 this repair has been one let down after another and it’s honestly baffling how little care has gone into this OVERPRICED repair.

I’m having to go in again next week for you guys to plug the battery in as I don’t want to be the one who voids the warranty sticker on the bottom. And yet a part of me worries that due to this review I’ll be given shoddy service…but then again…that’s all I’ve had so far so what’s the point.

I saw the AMAZING reviews you guys got and was hopeful for a great service…but so far all I’ve received is problem after problem after problem and I won’t be recommending you service to anyone

Do better.

I needed on-site advice on (1) networking, (2) data storage resiliance and (3) getting my printed circuit board assembly machine up and running after its battery that holds its computer’s setup data ran out of juice after being powered-down for a fortnight.

One of the challenges is that the assembly machine’s computer is a DOS-based industrial PC (late 1990’s vintage). Whilst Joe and I discussed networks, Mark got the assembly machine running again then showed me what to do in the interim until a permanent solution to the tired battery can be found.

To say that I am extatic and relieved would be an understatement of note. A five-star rating is not enough! I highly recommend P3 Computer Services Ltd for speed of response, professionalism and being great people. I am looking forward to implimenting their proposals for networking and data storage/resiliance.

What a great team! They have all the ethos and hands-on help of a family run business, but with prices that compete with online stores. They took time with me to find out my exact needs from a computer, and then matched me with the right machine! They even saved me a lot of money, by suggesting some of their factory refurbished machines, rather than a brand new one, saving me hundreds of pounds! Ordinarily I’d be a little sceptical about that, but with the warranty and the phone support of the team, I had no qualms at all. Being a relative computer Luddite, within the week I’d already misunderstood how to open certain programs, but a quick sheepish phone call to the P3 team, and they put me completely at ease in understanding it. Thank you so much team P3!
