My family and I experienced an unacceptable behavior from Boyan, one of CEX Ricoh staff members, on Sunday the 30th. We purchased a PS5 controller from CEX less than a year ago, and it developed a fault with one of the back keys sticking. When we inquired about the exchange process, we were told to bring the controller in for a straight swap without any mention of limitations on the returns policy. We were not informed at the point of purchase either. When we brought the controller in on Sunday as advised, Boyan, the staff member who forced his way to serve us, displayed aggressive behavior, muttered words about the controller being dropped, and refused to address me. He accused us of breaking the controller and refused an exchange based on a store policy that was not mentioned to us previously.

Boyan’s aggressive and demeaning behavior, accusatory tone, and refusal to explain the process or the store policy was extremely unprofessional. This experience was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Additionally, the notice above the till states faulty returns within 24 months, which contradicts the behavior and treatment I received. I request CEX to thoroughly investigate this staff member as he certainly does not represent the company in a positive light and is unfit to deal with customers. I am deeply disappointed and will no longer be purchasing from CEX, and I urge others to reconsider their support for the store as well.

I this coventy arena park branch to sell my samsung galaxy note 10. Upon passing the checks I went back to collect my cash, I was served by a gentleman who paid me my cash… he didn’t count the cash out into my hand or on the counter like usually happens in store and put it in my hand… I counted the cash and it was short of PS10. I went back to him and said this isn’t right. Where he quickly grabbed the PS10 and gave it to me without even asking how much short it was. I strongly believe this was purposely done, especially that the cash was right there that he owed me. I am hoping that your store has cctv to prevent him from attempting to steal from your customers again. I certainly won’t be visiting this branch again. If selling anything to these cowboys… make sure you count your cash before leaving!

Received an faulty Ps5 controller the other day was advised to bring it back for straight swap. Did what i’ve been told today, but she was on her phone more instead of helping me out and was behaving rudely the whole time serving me. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!
