Customer presented a 17 years old WD320GB drive with a large collection of family and work related photos and documents. This drive was previous inside a PC but had been moved to external caddie. Drive was clicking and dropping off line.
An initial read pulled back about 1% of the drive but then went unresponsive.
Called PCImage (was recommended by local PC repair shop) who quickly explained the process and directed to website submission form. Drive was posted and examined and recover quote & listing provided. Price seemed fair, recovery was complete, data was intact and returned via Dropbox. Return by USB stick or other HDD is recommended if you want to preserve the crate/modify times on the files.
Was very impressed with the knowledgeable and efficient service. Will be moving customer to a more secure data backup policy in future but really appreciate the “Hail Mary” save of reading a failed HDD.

Do not waste time going to any other hard drive recovery company in the UK. the vast majority of them are scammers. I sent my hard drive to FOUR different companies and all claimed it was impossible to recover. Enter pc image data recovery, got everything back within 3 weeks at a very reasonable price. Great communication, no scare tactics like all these other companies do. Trust me, don’t waste your money bothering with any other recovery company. Just do yourself a favour and go to these guys, they actually get the job done. Saved me a lot of headache recovering the drive. Can’t recommend these guys enough.
