So, I am not normally one to give negative feedback about a local business.

But my experience at Save Your Tech needs to be highlighted.

I took my broken laptop there last Thursday, it wouldn’t switch on to windows at all. They had it for a total of 6 days and charged me PS15 to look at it, the idea being this would come off my final bill.

During this time I was told that the fan inside was totally covered in dirt and that the inside was filthy. i was told there could be a hard drive problem too. I was told it would be fixed on Friday, I got no update, I had to chase myself. I was then told Monday, again, I had to chase myself.

Worse of all, the computer specialist Kash accused me of committing fraud. I had a phone call from him asking if I was on any benefits, and I answered that I am on PIP (this is to determine if I was entitled to any discounts, as expl to me later, not at the time) he didn’t ask if I was working. But called me 5 days later and was very unprofessional and shouting at me because I didn’t say I was working too. A question he didn’t ask. As everyone knows, you can claim PIP while working.

I was quoted prices ranging from PS75-PS100 to fix it.

After this, I took my laptop back.

I then took it to another shop in Chester Le Street.

They had it for 24 hours, charged me PS25 and got it working, as best they could. The real fault being a broken graphics card. I asked about the proposed faults given to me previously and found none of them were true. The fans were displayed to me, working fine.

I’ve now sent it back for a refund

Firstly, I can show you my call logs, any call I missed I returned shortly after.

Secondly, how DARE you call me racist, at no point have a displayed any form of racist behaviour. That is complete slander and Absolutely vile behaviour!!

Thirdly, I did not lie about claiming benefits, I said I claim PIP, and I do. You did not ask if I worked and only told me about it being a discount on the day I come in to collect.

What I did lie about was taking it back to the shop, I took it to a computer shop I trusted before I did this. I sent it back to the place I bought it the day after. And I did that because I didn’t want you anywhere near it

I had already used Save your Tech to fix the volume button on a mobile phone, this time there was a major problem with my HP Laptop. Apparently a Trojan had invaded it at some point. At first it had the lads at this firm perplexed but they insisted they could solve the problem. It took a week and probably lots of man-hours but I got my laptop back good as new. They also installed Office and the antivirus security security software they use in the shop on their own equipment at a discounted price. considering I thought I was heading to Currys to buy a replacement I was very happy to get my fixed laptop back for a very reasonable price. I would urge anyone with tech problems to try David and Kash at Save Your Tech first, before you go elsewhere. It could save you a fortune.

Found this place by searching for a mobile repair shop near me. Great first experience with a quality repair done quickly and at a good price. A second fault on my aging phone meant I returned the next day. No fuss, problem repaired at short notice and free of charge. Great guys that I would happily have a pint with. Definitely be going back with future repairs, and to buy any new tech I might need. Thanks again. Simon
