Decent locally PC repairs but poor workmanship.

Andrew believes that I was talking like a proper a rubbish, as about my motherboard bio need updated because that I bought motherboard over two years whist my CPU got changed like years ago which according to that motherboard manufacturers said as their update log they made updated motherboard help suitable for my CPU. For several reasons, Andrew doesn’t believe it and he believed that updating the bio was waste time doesn’t nothing.

After he have to get sorted what I asked for. Turn out Andrew infact was WRONG! I can noticeable performance bit smoother because that update bio to suitable for newer gen of CPU.

He also installed security that he recommend turn out he used call “SUPERAntiSpyware” had bad rating at online… straight way uninstalled. He think that Window 11 hasn’t got anti virus (which it’s had one including as I have many years with Win 11, no problem).

He also bit very rude to my friend from discord, which my friend knew pretty much about PCs. Andrew think that my friend are talking like a rubbish.

He also attemped blaming me that my PC wasnt booting up. It’s was booted up all zero issues BEFORE handing him back.

I need re-thinking my trust to allowance touching my PS1,000+ gaming rig.

Edit: Andy as I am responding your message. Im sorry but clearly you were not reading motherboard update. YOU failed idenify my CPU was 5800x3D and they HAD update for support that was F16a whist I had F15 (before F16a) before you update it. Please think twice and read again update log before you decision to replied. SUPERAntiSpyware are nothing do with that, THEY ARE tend to false postive! Update bio DOES thing, “Keeping one’s BIOS updated is crucial for ensuring that a computer’s hardware is fully compatible with its operating system. These updates can enhance system performance, improve hardware compatibility, fix bugs, and provide security patches”, meaning my bio was too outdated suitable for my CPU and AMD released statement security issues with CPU, I told you that and you choose that I was talking rubbish. I do researchs the information. That lose other star for you.

Would definitely recommend! I phoned Andy about a problem with my laptop (charging issue), described to him over the phone what I knew about the problem and he told me what he initially thought. He then asked me to come over for him to have a look (literally ten minutes later) where he tested everything in front of me and talked me through the options and what he recommended. No charge for the assessment and no pressure sales. Just friendly, fast advice.

If you’re bringing in a computer that works at all, I highly recommend demoing it in the shop before you hand it over.

I brought in a laptop for a hinge repair and it came back with a damaged motherboard.

In response to the response below: All I know is that the laptop worked mere hours before being brought in. I don’t know how the motherboard got damaged, I just wish I’d tried turning it on in the shop with you.
