Mobile Land replaced the screen on my iPhone for a great price (PS49) and even put a free screen protector and case on it. They told me to keep the receipt. I was very pleased and if I remember correctly they asked me to write them a Google review.

6 weeks later the phone screen became faulty. I went back to Mobile Land with the receipt expecting them to replace the faulty screen for free. I was served by Habib who initially tried to charge me PS69 for a new screen (PS20 more than originally paid!). Then after much discussion he said he would replace the screen at the cost price of PS30.

I went home and rang the manufacturer and they told me the screen had an 18 month warranty (as long as there was no sign of accidental damage). They said to take it back to the shop and ask the shop to raise a fault and post the screen back to them for testing.

I went back and asked Habib to do that but he refused. Habib told me that if I leave the shop with a working phone and it fails the next day then that is not his responsibility. He said Mobile Land will go out of business if they start doing repairs for free.

He said he was the shop owner but refused to tell me his surname. He told me he does not have a surname, then when I said he must have a surname he told me to “Google it”. When I did search on Google I found he was not the owner, and he then admitted the owner is his brother who is away for 20 days.

So I went home and rang the manufacturer again. They were very helpful and once I’d emailed them the details they rang Habib and asked him to replace the faulty screen which he then did.

I do not understand why Mobile Land use parts with an 18 month warranty but then do not pass that warranty on to their customers.

In future I will obviously not be using Mobile Land and will be careful to clarify up front what happens if a repair goes wrong.

This has to be there worst phone shop ive ever been too they told me it would take one day to fix my screen i gave them cash up front 35 to fit the screen they told me if the screen was faulty its not there fault i told them dont worry its brand new they told me the screen don’t work so i was sent a replacement told me to collect it Saturday went in saturday and the guy didn’t come in then come in monday then tuesday then thursday then told me it was fixed then when i cane to collect it it now wasn’t fixed i made the mistake by paying up front he said he felt bad so refunded me 20 pound back and gave back a broken tablet this many days later i took it to the phone shop in fratton which charged me twenty pound to fix last time they charged me twenty pounds again and gave me tge tablet back the same day only reason i used this shop is because it was closer to my house what a mistake that was half the price at place by fratton asda and fix withen a few hours no lies about carnt fix it its fixed its in london the motherboard is broken gave this tablet in on the 14th got it back on the 25th after visiting the shop 2 or 3 times most days just trying to get the tablet back took the tablet to a shop next to fratton train station said two flex was missing and fixed within one hour on the same day

Not only resolved my issue with my phone charging in a timely manner (about 10 minutes), but also gave me some advice to stop the issue reoccurring, which is a lot more than others would be willing to do and could also be something that others might take advantage of to get further business!
