We’ve spent a fair amount of money here over the years because it’s convenient, there’s a decent range of goods and the prices are average, (although there’s never any deals to be made anymore, that’s a thing of the past.)

But I won’t be back. We bought an integrated dishwasher a week ago, which was out of stock, delivered today.

When I took the packaging off, there was damage and bad buckling to the front which meant I wouldn’t be able to install it, as the cupboard panel door wouldn’t fit on it and I don’t know if there’s any further damage inside.

We drove back to the store, explained the situation to one of the managers and asked if they would install the replacement for free or offer some other kind of compensation to make up for the hassle and inconvenience.
Having waited for a week and stayed in for their 4 hr delivery window and not knowing how long it will take to sort this out, I think it’s fair to ask. Nope, nothing. Computer says no, the system won’t allow it.

He said we could write to Currys head office, who were able to give compensation but its unlikely that they would.

I was polite but he kept talking right over me. If he’d been friendly and apologetic I might have felt better about it. So, I decided I’d get a refund and go elsewhere, I don’t want them to have my money anymore.

But before I can get a refund, now I have to go home and get the serial number and come back to the shop, or ring them. I’ve rung 5 times now and they’re not answering. (When we were there, there were lots of staff and it wasn’t busy).

I’ve put up with unexceptional service from Currys for years, no more. I will be going to Amazon or AO now.

Went to buy a Apple Macbook or AirPad at PS1500, staff seem to ignore customers, when i eventually did get a member of staffs attention he looked to see if they had a specific item that would have helped me choose between Apple tablet or a MacBook. He then proceeded to serve someone else with a small item and ignore the fact of my request. After getting fed up waiting for service I decided to go spend my money at a different store.
Shocking, will not be returning to Currys for electrical goods.
If they work of commission, one would suggest you just missed out.
On the upside I am happy with my new Mac book Pro purchased from Apple direct. (Very helpful)

It was very quiet and empty in there. There where a few staff members on the shop floor who just looked at me and did not offer any help or anything what so ever the whole time I was in there, not a single member of staff approached me to ask if I need any help with anything or if I’m looking for anything specific. Instead they they all chatted to each other! I was on there for a good 20 min. Absolutely shocking. Never agin visiting currys in Stamford!
