I put my phone here to get a new battery for PS69 as I wasn’t able to get through to a Genius Bar due to Covid-19 restrictions. When I got it back they had broken it. They confirmed it passed all diagnostics coming in and also confirmed that as shown on official Apple advice this can happen changing the battery (I wasn’t warned of this beforehand). They claimed that it could have broken at any time after me getting it back and likened it to a car MOT. However I’d placed it straight back in its box and it wasn’t discovered until Christmas Day as it was a present for a friends daughter. Christmas Day 2021 ruined, lots of phone calls and emails, contradictory advice from technicians and atrocious attitude from the ‘Team Leader’ Connor. We’re now looking at a further PS259 for repairs. Connor claimed they couldn’t even do a half price repair as a compromise as it would ‘come out of my bottom line’. He fobbed us off with Apples customer service number as he said ‘they can afford it’. Unsurprisingly Apple refused to cover the repair either, and actually said we should have come direct to them at the Genius Bar in the first place! I’m utterly shocked and disappointed by the whole sorry saga, more that PS300 out of pocket, and would urge anyone not to buy anything or get a repair at Stormfront as they will absolve themselves of any responsibility if anything goes wrong. Please avoid and deal directly with Apple.

They have now blocked me from their Social media, so I can’t warn others. Avoid!

Currently writing this from the laptop that this shop’s affiliates deemed as completely broken. Funny that.

I am hugely disappointed in Stormfront from the service I received. Like a similar reviewer, I was recommended by Apple to use this shop to replace a battery in my Macbook Air, which Apple stated would cost no more than PS130 for the battery replacement. I did not mind paying handling fees which they charged PS39 on the spot.

They sent my laptop to Exeter, where I received a lengthy quote and a shocking bill of PS877 which was more than my Macbook even cost to buy new!

They listed several damages – my laptop not turning on, needing a new keyboard (funny, as I’m typing from it right now), needing a new trackpad and apparently had water damage (despite me never spilling or subjecting my laptop to any form of liquid damage). Nothing about replacing my battery, like I had requested. It felt like a complete and utter scam.

I told them to immediately return my laptop to me as I had ONLY asked for a battery replacement. Low and behold, it was returned but I am still PS39 down with NO battery replacement and unhelpful staff. I literally paid PS39 to send my laptop on a holiday and receive the shock of my life with an unnecessary, scamming bill. Please AVOID as I have learned my lesson and will be taking my laptop for servicing elsewhere.

Like an apple store, but worse. Went in to get a ‘factory’ screen protector put on a brand new (still had box screen cover on) iPhone 13 Pro Max. Website suggested they do the same Belkin ones as the Apple store. Store actually does a different one, with a different installation jig. Seems to work, but it’s been misaligned on installation (squinty) and has several strands of fluff under the protector – very obvious on a white screen. I’ve done a better job myself with the many protectors I self installed over the years. I should’ve waited until I could get to the apple store and got it done properly / bought an Amazon one and done it myself. A constant reminder of suboptimal service / overpriced cover every time I look at the screen !
