To cut a long story short- I wanted an American fridge freezer, but wanted to ensure that I could have my larder fridge AND freezer taken away for recycling at the same time as the delivery. I used the webchat to ask if this was able to happen. They said ‘yes, absolutely- Just add it twice to the collection option when ordering…I couldn’t find this option, so rang the live chat to confirm how I do this, who cut me off whilst ‘going to ask their supervisor for advice’. Back I go to webchat, who again reiterated that I could have both items collected, but would have to call customer services (which I had tried a number of times and got nowhere, but was told that it was the wrong number that I was using anyway, even though it is the one found all over the internet)… so I called the number that he suggested, who then told me that I couldn’t have x2 collections on an order for x1 large item and that I’d need to either buy another large appliance…or BRING MY ITEM TO THE STORE MYSELF for them to recycle!
I decided to rock up to the store (empty handed! LOL) and speak to someone face to face, who could give me a straight forward, accurate answer for my situation.
Jacob was brilliant! He was sympathetic, understanding and helped to resolve the situation for me.
I’m now just waiting for it to be delivered/items collected for recycling!

The take away from this is:

-Ordering in store provides a better customer experience
-No, they do not take away additional items as a rule, so their web advisors need more training!

The so called manager is a sexist, condescending and poor excuse of a man. We visited the store the day before this experience to sort a phone out but the Carphone Warehouse employee had left, was told someone would be there the next day between 12 & 6. My partner turned up around 3pm, greeted by this manager to be told they had left and that no one would have told her that someone would be there until 6pm (basically accusing her of lying).
He then proceeded to belittle my partner by claiming she should have come in to the store to try the phone before buying it (Ts&Cs state it can be opened and then returned within 14 days). He then called another store to see if they could help, and while on the phone claimed to whoever he was talking to that she didn’t look like the type of person that could drive quick enough to Evesham before their CPW employee left (unsure what he meant by that, and tried to back track when challenged).
Another review also mentions this person and I do not understand how he has managed to get to this position and hope that he loses it as he really does not deserve it.

Very disappointed to visit the store today, I visited for the purpose of buying a replacement soundbar as Curry’s was the supplier of my current TV and soundbar. After waiting around 25 mins for an advisor to assist ( which was not a major issue as I got to test all the soundbars on offer). When the assistant finally came over to see me he stated that not all items will be in stock as they’ve just had a sale and by the way we close in 8 mins . That attitude just cost you a PS500 sale and now I have found the exact same product on Amazon which was also cheaper. People wonder why retail stores are struggling!! Annoying as I preferred to go into the store to sample the product I was buying.
