Visited with my 93 year old disabled mother – we wanted to view items on the first floor but the lift was not working. Eventually a manager was able to reset the lift but in the meantime we were left standing around for a long time. Once we had viewed and selected the item we required, it was impossible to get a member of staff to help us and when one did become available she helped another customer who had only just come into the store. A gentleman from the Dyson section was kind and considerate but explained he was unable to help us as he was not a Curry’s employee. We asked him if my Mum could have a seat to be advised that for health and safety reasons they don’t have any seats for customers but she could sit on a pile of boxes!!! In the end we left without making a purchase. Just shocking customer service and no way to treat elderly or disabled customers.

I have now had four disappointing experiences with this Currys store, each time purchasing items that turned out to be damaged or faulty. My latest purchase, a fridge, was particularly frustrating. Upon unboxing, I discovered two cracks in the storages inside the fridge. I immediately returned to the store, but was left waiting for a long time before being seen. This level of service is unacceptable, especially after repeatedly receiving damaged products.

I urge Currys to seriously reconsider their quality control processes and customer service training. As a regular customer, I expect better, and this consistent disappointment has led me to lose faith in this store. I hope future customers have a better experience, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend shopping here.

The Currys team are well informed and helpful. The store in Foss Retail Park is large and well laid out. You may however need to a pair of binoculars to read the signs at the far end of the store. Alternatively buy a pair in store! My visit was an easy process from start to finish with advice given without waffle. All in all good service, well laid out and knowledgeable staff. Oh plenty of parking too.
