I recently visited the Worksop Currys store, just to have a look at a few things ready for when we move into our new house. As soon as I was through the door, I can only describe as being pounced on by someone called Mario. I explained I was just looking and if I needed help I would say. He literally wouldn’t shut up. What was I looking for, do I need a TV, broadband etc. ON AND ON. He made me feel very uncomfortable and once again I said I was just looking. He eventually left as an older man needed help near the till but I could hear him trying to get the man to buy extras. I’m sure some people might like the attention but he really did come across as very unpleasant and intimidating. I’m sure Currys wouldn’t want their customers being treated in such a manner. He might want the commission but there are better ways of getting a sale. Perhaps he needs to go on a training course because he DID NOT HAVE PEOPLE SKILLS.
On a better note when I did need some advice a lovely young man called Stu was very knowledgeable. Thanks Stu, when we are ready to make our big purchases hopefully I can give you the sale

Visited the Currys store in Worksop as I required help with an issue and potential fraudulent activity from phone calls and mail I had received. I tried speaking to somebody over the phone however it appeared they were too busy in their kitchen (the joys of working from home). Anyway entered the store in Worksop to a friendly greeting by a member of staff who soon disappeared into the ether, I stood waiting watching 2 members of staff dealing with 2 customers and then being unable to deal with the 2 customers as they have to make phone calls. Needless to say I left the store with not only my issue not being resolved but not even getting to speak to a member of staff. Is this where we are in 2024 scammers over the phone claiming they are Currys and not being able to deal with a simple issue in store? The future isn’t bright is it, welcome to online shopping and stores being closed with face to face customer service a thing of the past!

Manager Marie is the most arrogant person i have met. Made me stand there for 5 mins while she counted the float in the till so i dint make her lose count and i quote “before i deal with you”! Then to turn her back on me and start walking away because she didn’t like what i say. Felt more sorry for the staff who looked embarrassed by her behaviour and foreign mannerisms that are considered rude in the uk. Staff had the right idea and secretly told me to try another store. Went to meadowhall and got sorted straight away. Id advise the same from anyone considering purchasing from worksop
