Overall my experience with Mobile Market was mediocre at best, which is the reason for the 2-stars. Don’t get me wrong, my device was repaired, but not without a very convoluted and expensive process, several visits, and a lot of wasted time.
I had to visit 4 TIMES before my issue was corrected.
Visit #1: (Friday) initial assessment, quotation, a first attempt at screen replacement, and an invitation to come back in approximately 1hr to pick up my device.
Visit #2: (approx. 1hr later) Impressed, I returned in excitement only to be handed back my device in worse condition only because the repair could not be completed due to a faulty 3rd party replacement screen, so my original screen was re-installed.
Immediate red flag for me when the person stated that they received a bad batch of 3rd party replacement S23 Ultra screens and the one they used as a replacement for mine unfortunately was one from the fault-laden batch. I should have walked at that point, but they have already opened my phone, so I decided to continue with them since they had a 6-month warranty for their work.
They stated they needed a $100 deposit to order a new screen and that it would be arriving Monday. So I obliged, paid my deposit, and left empty-handed and quite frankly, bummed-out.
Visit 3: (following Monday) assuming my replacement screen came in, I returned yet again to finally get my screen replaced. Nope. The part wasn’t coming until Tuesday now. I’m getting frustrated with the runaround at this point just and asked if they had an OEM screen instead.
They did, but quoted me $550. I disclosed to them that I got a quote for $430 at another place and asked if they could match the price. I don’t know about you, but to me, $120 is a lot of money, especially during these times. They called the place where I received my quote (a reputable and authorized Samsung repair centre), and verified that I was being truthful with my $430 quote, but still refused to match the price.
The best they did was $450, but also threw in a protective screen which was about a $20 value to even the price up.
Visit 4: (same Monday) finally get my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra screen replaced with an OEM screen. Tested my phone’s functionality and observed good workmanship. Paid my bill and left relieved.
Things like this take time and as an extremely busy individual, I had very little time to waste. I think having to come back and forth so many times and being quoted significantly more than an actual authorized repair centre was an off-putting experience.
Would I come back? Not me, personally, unless I have to go back and use the 6-month warranty.
Would I recommend them? Yes, but be smart and ask the right questions. They were very friendly and professional. I’m only telling you about my experience. Your mileage may vary.
Next day told tech not in can’t fix it.
They were told the day I dropped it off my husband needs his phone for work and a loner phone would not work for his job (security settings) and was promised next day delivery.
Emails were sent saying they were working on a different problem on his phone and it wasn’t even touched.
