Extremely and unnecessarily RUDE. Searched for cell phone repair in Guelph, and this was the only one listed for 9am, so I showed up at 9:30, since i start work closeby at 10am. When I got there the sign on the door said they open 10am, but I need my phone for work, so I figured I’d wait. Well it was almost 10:10 when someone finally showed up, and told me he’d need 5 minutes to open the store. At this point I asked him if he was aware that the hours were listed as 9am. He immediately became very rude and agressive, saying that he’s not going to argue with me because he’s not going to let this ruin his week.

I tried to explain to him that my intention was simply for his benefit, to make sure he was aware that the hours were lkisted wrong in case he might want to address that. As a business owner myself I have deep understanding for these types of technical issues. He wouldn’t even let me explain that I wasn’t even upset at all, and simply wanted to make him aware, but at this point his attitude got even worse. He told me if I wanted to argue with him that he was going to throw me out. I was actually shocked. We don’t address our guests or customers like this in Canada. I do not know of a person born and raised in Canada that would be so disrespectful to address somebody like this. That is not how we suport each other here.

This guy took a situation where I was coming from a place of understanding and went out of his way to make it an adversarial encournter.

If he would have returned the sentiment of understanding, we would have come to realize together that we were both right. Upon looking into it after leaving the store I realize that on google, yes, the hours are listed as opening at 10am, but on facebook they must still have old hours listed, which is where i saw the 9am open. I searched “cell phone repair Guelph”, and onn the main page of the several listings that popped up, this place of business is listed as opening at 9am, then you see a little thing beside the hours with facebook reviews.

So yes the hours are listed wrong on facebook, which is showing up when i search of safari on my iphone. I actually had to do some digging to find the google listing which said 10am.

Either way, I’m very happy I didn’t leave my phone with the guy. Zero respect within this establishment.

Absolutely bad service and BAD ETHICS!! My phone had a charging problem so I sent it to them. However after a week he called me to pick it up as it is not fixable so I went to pick it up and he let me walked away. And here comes the drama: I sit in the car and turned over the phone, the phone back cover was damaged (see image) while they tried to opened it but have it cracked and also leaving gap on the edge – they didn’t fix the charging problem but instead creating a new problem – the WORST part is without informing me they cracked the back cover. EVEN WORSE: I went back to the store, the guy said he will now change the back cover BUT charging a diagnose fee. So essentially they hide the truth that they broke the back cover then let me suck it up quietly, then when I went back they said “oh sorry I will fixed what I massed up but I will charge you for something else”. I was wanting to have the phone back since I know exactly what is he doing and I’m too tired of this gray-zone cheating, EVEN WORSE: he refused to give it back to me after my 3rd request. Then I have no choice but called Guelph Police – I hate to call police for this kind of small matter but sadly the situation required me to do so. When the police showed up, of course I got my phone back and I appreciated that. Lesson learnt – never repair any devices in this store since I have a big question mark on their ETHICS, since at the end of the day, my charging problem was not resolved but got a new crack on the phone. If there is negative score I will certainly do so! Hope this only happens to me but you guys have to be careful!
