Taking our laptop here to get fixed was the most stressful and frustrating experience we have ever had. ISP had our laptop for two MONTHS and never ended up fixing it. When we called to get an update, no one would answer. Or we would be told someone would call us back and we’d never get a call back. At one point, they told us they had taken our laptop to be serviced by “some Chinese guys” in Edmonton. Excuse me?! Certainly didn’t appreciate them taking our laptop to another business without even asking for our permission or notifying us. When we actually did get to talk to Iain to get an update, the story was constantly changing about what was happening (waiting for parts, waiting on the aforementioned “Chinese guys”, Covid and the supply chain…). And then when we asked to just have the laptop back to have it fixed elsewhere, it was “oh so much has happened since we last talked…” blah blah blah your laptop can’t be fixed.

We took it here based off the mostly-positive reviews and that is the reason for our review… felt like we needed to be honest about our experience with ISP and warn others. Apologies to the owners – I understand you’re trying to run a business but we had a really terrible experience with you guys.

Same experience as a lot of other reviewers. Choose this business due to positive word of mouth. Not my experience.

Tried to get a new battery for my laptop. Initially sent a email that went unanswered. Called a few days later and was told it would be 5-7 business days for the new battery to arrive. Followed up after 2 weeks and was told his systems needed a reboot and he would call me back (he didn’t). Called 2 days later and was told he wasn’t at the store but remembered me and would call me back (he didn’t). I left a message 5 weeks after the initial conversation asking for a call back within 2 days or I would be taking my laptop elsewhere. I’ve been ghosted. Wasted a month trying to support a local business.

Brought my daughters chrome book there to see if it could be fixed , was told less than likely as the parts would cost close to the cost of the device , I asked if he could take a look and confirm if this was in fact the case , left my name and number , never received a call back , I called with no answer, when asked if he knew where I could recycle the product and quickly answered he would take it off my hands (obviously there is money in some of the hardware). Feeling like I was ripped off , didn’t even try to repair my daughters Chromebook or offer to give it back ,probably already parted out and profited off the hardware.
