My experience with Memory Lane computers was bad. i had brought a video card in that had needed a heat sink and fan replacement because the OEM one was on its way out.I was told it would only take till early to mid afternoon. so i brought in the hardware. I hadn’t heard back so i called them around 3 to get an update. The gentleman has said there was missing parts from the box, Specifically a plastic shroud.
i quickly found it and rushed down to get it to them. once i arrived they have brought the after market cooler out to me with a missing post to mount it to the video card and the fourth post in bits.
with out it the after market heat sink cannot be used and possibly not returned. When i was talking to the technician i was told
“the post looked to already be a little bit bent” and he continued to try and use it instead of calling me.as a person who’s worked in the customer service as well as IT sector, this is unacceptable. No call for follow up or call to let me know anything was missing. instead the tech tried to use the apparently defective part, broke it, and then even tried to jerry rig it a second time to make it work without contacting me.It doesn’t end there. later that night i received a text from the tech about rectifying the situation. in which i was hesitant at first and then i was going to allow it.
so i was going to make a deal. if he could get the OEM fans to replace the dead ones with i would let them do the repair. he said he would see if he could source the Parts.so i sent a link to an ebay ad to what i had found. and received no response back. with 8 hours of the store being open the next day, no response from the Tech.

On the day that I had to take my PC in last week, I had been having some booting issues with my PC for a few days. Everything booted on BUT the monitors, I am not very tech savvy in the way of taking apart my computer and figuring out why things aren’t working correctly without risk of doing more potential damage. (I had previously taken my PC to a different Location and they told me that nothing was wrong – waste of $80.) Once I dropped it off at Memory Lane I got a call within 2 hours from the tech saying that he had figured it out and it’s now booting as it should with no issues. Since getting my PC back there has been absolutely no issues that I have been able to see.

Brought my gaming pc to them, after having a black screen issue that had me stumped. They were able to diagnose and fix the issue within a day, and also pointed out my cpu didn’t have adequate cooling. Awesome customer service. Definitely check them out for any of your computer needs, including repair and service.
