Upon attempting to use the laptop, I encountered an error indicating that there was no hard disk installed. Following unsuccessful troubleshooting via HP support, I visited the Regina, Saskatchewan Best Buy for assistance. There, the store leader informed me that I would need to pay the 11% Saskatchewan tax on the exchange. Additionally, a 50$ discount that I had received at the Calgary store was not honored, and I was required to pay an extra $200 due to the tax difference and the non-applicable discount.
The inconsistency in information provided by your staff has resulted in significant inconvenience and unexpected additional costs. As an international student, these expenses are particularly burdensome.
I request that you review my case and consider reimbursing the additional charges incurred or provide a suitable resolution to address the misinformation and inconvenience caused.

One employee informed me I should order online because he agreed they had limited stock and selection, not a big deal. The same employee assisted me with finding a screen protector, which we found. I paid for the screen protector, and instalment fee, and the cashier told me where I could go to get the screen protector put on.
As I was waiting to get my phone returned to me, a different employee came and informed me that they put the screen protector on but it was the wrong one for my phone. (The box said “iPhone 14/13 Pro, which doesn’t include the 14Pro but I understand the confusion.)
So I went to customer service (The only helpful employee I found to be working that day), and he told me they’d do a complete exchange and sent me to a 3rd employee to help me find the proper case. She assists me and finds out they have none.
So I went BACK to customer service, but there was a line so the original cashier wanted to help me out. He refunded me for the screen protector and told me I wouldn’t be reimbursed for the instalment fee because they still installed a screen protector…
I never really make reviews unless they’re positive. And this situation was not a huge deal, but for anyone reading I would just highly suggest not wasting your time and going somewhere else.
