Seriously!! I never received the package and they REFUSE TO REFUND ME.
UPDATE 1: another 2 weeks passed since the store told they had to cancel the order. I haven’t received any money yet and the helpdesk told me the order wasn’t cancelled in their system. I ended up going to the store once again, and contrary to below reply from the store, nobody was informed about my case or waiting with a solution. I waited in line for ages and finally managed to speak to the store manager. To my suprise he told me they cannot refund me untill the fridge is found. Be aware that I never received the fridge nor do I know if it will ever be found. Mediamarkt is now refusing to refund me because of company policy. Not only did I not receive the fridge, but I most likely also won’t get my money back. Don’t order here and go to Amazon instead!! Save yourself the nightmare.
UPDATE 2: it took me a total of 3 months, multiple visits to the store, and dozens of calls to their helpdesk to finally get my money back. I was told time and time again that no refund can be given without the fridge being returned. Which is ridiculous as I never received it in the first place. I certainly won’t ever order anything at Mediamarkt again and recommend you to do the same.

I ordered a fridge online and after 2 weeks I still didn’t have a delivery date. I called with their help-desk several times and even went to the store in PEP to get a status update.
What happens is that once you order a larger object online and they hand the package over to the 3rd party logistics provider, they lose all types of traceability. The store failed to contact me beforehand to make the delivery appointment which most likely caused the issue. The help desk refers to the store and the store to the help-desk. I went to the store in PEP, then called the help desk, and gave to phone to a store employee. To my surprise they were unable to find a solution and just cancelled the order and told me this is the only solution.
Just order at Amazon instead and not mess around with Mediamarkt which is either unwilling, or unable to deliver larger household devices to its customers. I also ordered a smaller package, which got delivered by DHL without issues.
Only go if you are sure of what you need and need it urgently,

For some cases you can get the physical feel of the things. That too is not possible for all items thus can’t recommend it completely for that either.
Staff:
The few people are helpful but have too many people to cater too as if they carry the load of others as well and the rest are just busy doing whatever they please, they don’t even ask, if they can help you even when you stand next to them.
Effective teams share the load but this is completely amiss here. If one section is full, others are completely happy doing nothing while their colleagues struggle.
Probably part of German customers service (generalization, but these kind of experiences are not isolated for me).
Even though online markets are breaking all such retail, you would think they would try to make sure the people visiting have an experience that they can’t online but I see no effort here.
I waited 30 mins for the guy to get free to do a simple price check only to find it they had incorrect print on their shelf.
This could have been done by the 3 other guys sitting and looking at shoes on “Amazon” but the item didn’t belong to their section so they didn’t care even though this was happening right next to them.
While I am standing there and thinking I can easily order on Amazon or idealo and not have to deal with any of this.
Prices:
In the end the prices are also not very competitive. The product I was looking at was at Amazon for 44. In Saturn the misprinted shelf price was 54, I was like fine for this price since I’ll get it right away, but when I got to the counter they said it’s a misprint and the actual price is 70.
Conclusion:
So I have now ordered it online and I am fine waiting a day or two for the free delivery.
