A 0. I came to these guys with my external hard drive saying that it was beeping, that I couldn’t copy stuff properly and that I didn’t know what to do. They switched it on in front of my eyes, which is something, I now know, you should NEVER do in case of doubt of the kind of damage the hard drive has. I even remember the guy doing that saying, “this sounds good”, so I let it there for two hours as they asked to.They called me back saying they couldn’t do anything because the hard drive had a mechanical problem, that the laptop would not recognise it, meaning they had switched it on again. After this they gave me the contact of a guy who asked me 1.000 euros to get back my data. Of course I went to someone else, who asked me 350 euros, who opened it in a proper environment and told me it was not possible to rescue the data anymore because an hard disk with this kind of problems should never ever been switched on. So I have lost everything of the last 6 years, personal and professional, because the reading “head’ of the disk was scratching it out while being on. They were supposed to tell me what to do and which were the possibilities in order to rescue it, instead, something that was braking just died in their hands. I called them asking why did they switched it on, that the technician told me that, that was probably the cause of the final damage and instead of an apology they guy of Lux PC wouldn’t let me explain, would scream at me on phone and hanged it. I advice everyone to just avoid this place.

After my computer crashed with no return, I brought it to them in hope to particularly extract and save the data that was on it (and if possible, repair the computer). After one week, they told me it wasn’t possible – they tried twice but it crashed, so I was distraught that all my data was gone. Paid 50 euros for the diagnostic.
I then brought my computer to a friend, who simply too out the hard drive, connected it to another computer, and easily retrieved all my “lost” data.
I don’t know how LuxPC diagnosed and tried retrieving the data, but after seeing my friend solving this in 20 min max, ‘incompetent’ and ‘taking advantage of someone who doesn’t know how this works’ comes to mind.

Professional and friendly staff. Adjusted for me by talking in English. Gave an estimate of 25 to 50 Euros but charged minimum at the end as they thought it was a relatively easy process. Great experience overall. I had given my laptop for thorough dust removal. Happy with the outcome as my PC seems to have sped up now.
