Never try to return anything.
I recently bought a charger cable for my notebook. It turned out that it wasn’t working properly with the device, so I tried to explain and return it for a refund. I wasn’t told about any refund policy when buying the item and there was nothing on the receipt. I checked and was within my right to ask for a refund, as I was returning it after about a week.
It was a PS30 item and I could have got it cheaper elsewhere.
When asking for a refund, the 1st guy was very rude, stating that I couldn’t return it for a refund and said that I was in the wrong.
The 2nd guy tried to help me and made a call. He explained that they don’t do refunds, I asked him to make sure it’s explained and on the receipt in the future. He also stated that I couldn’t get a full refund and only offered me PS20 unless they found the item to be faulty.
As I had an urgent matter to attend, I took the money and went.
I’m not a computer dummy and build my own computers, but I will never go back to this place. It’s a shame, as I like to support local stores.

I reply to your response… I don’t buy from ebay and I could have got a genuine charger PS7 cheaper in Liverpool. Having worked in retail for over 40 years and checking with CAB legal team, I know my rights… Sadly, I wasn’t offered a credit note. Also I was offered 66% refund, not 80%.
I have no doubt that you would normally do your best to give a good service… Maybe I caught you sales staff on a bad day, as he was rude and talked to me like an idiot.

I bought a PC from AC technology 3 years ago, which worked perfectly fine until all of a sudden recently it started to have CPU problems so I naturally decided to give it back to the people who built it since you’d think they would know best how to fix it? Apparently not. They instantly done a guesswork style diagnosis of the problem and assumed it was the thermal paste that was making the CPU overheat, and that the only thing that needed to be done was dust down the fans and re-apply thermal paste. They took the PC off us for an entire week. An entire week for a 15 minute job. I get that there was a queue but their queue system is very flawed they should prioritize jobs that would take less time to complete, its not like any components needed replacing. Not to mention the fact that when we got the PC back, the problem was not resolved, so after a weeks time and PS40 down the drain the problem was not resolved. Lets just say it is the last time I will ever be coming to this place and i recommend everyone else do the same. Afterwards we went somewhere else, which actually fixed the problem and got the PC back to us within 2 days. So if you can’t be bothered reading all that just know this, if you need your PC repaired/fixed, do not ever go to these guys.

Customer service was excellent from initial enquiry and advice by Marie, through to in-person delivery by Julie. I never felt any pressure to spend more than my budget, and all the advice I received re. changing components was based on sound compatibility reasons.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I am very happy with their build – price and quality – and their customer service is above and beyond.
