Please be careful about the not refundable deposit they ask(the owner is also commenting about this). Not only me had to pay this deposit and didn’t receive the service promised. The owner commented saying that they provided the price of the job. This is not true. They didn’t even tell me what the problem was until I went there to take my laptop back after almost 4 weeks. Very bad communication and definitely not worth it. Now that I have reviewed publicly, they have offered a possible refund after I have asked for it in person.
When I returned to pick up the phone, I noticed that there is a darkness on all 4 sides of the image on the newly replaced brand new wide angle camera. They said exactly “we fixed this camera (pointing out the working camera), and didn’t touch the wide one”. I said the normal camera is normal and working the wide angle one is the broken one, they told me “no, we fixed the normal camera, it working, we didn’t touch the wide angle”. As the owner of the phone, I know which camera was broken (0.5/wide angle). But he kept insisting I know it wrong and since there was a customer inside, they said “we will fix it tomorrow”.
I arrived the next day and nothing was fixed and the new person was not even aware of the issue. I called the police, reported them to the trading standard and Islington Council.
Stay away, don’t get scammed
Do you read their reply below? Imagine being a customer of these scammers.
– I paid PS25 for a diagnostic
– They took it apart in their workshop, diagnosed it, and assured me they can fix it. I say ok, go ahead. They say they’ll call when done.
– They don’t call, so I call them. Now they say they tried, and it cannot be fixed. So clearly the diagnostic was wrong.
– I ask for a refund, refused
It’s ok, mistakes happen, but at least compensate the customer if you made a mistake.
tl;dr: paid PS25 for a wrong diagnostic.
