I visited the Apple Store today, June 20th 2024 to explore their range of watches, as I am in the market for my first Apple Watch. Having no prior experience with their watches, I was hoping to get some guidance and information from the store staff.

Upon picking up a watch, I was approached by an employee, an Afro-Caribbean woman in her 40s or 50s with a bun and grey hair. She asked is there anything she can help with, to which I responded that I was just looking at the watches and asked if there was anything I should know since I wasn’t familiar with them. To my surprise, she replied, “Well, everything is on the website so you should know,” and laughed in a passive-aggressive manner. This response caught me off guard, but I politely said, “Okay, that’s fine,” and turned away.

Despite my clear indication that I was fine, she persisted, asking what specifically I wanted to know as if I was bothering her. Feeling uncomfortable, I mentioned that I wanted to start running and asked how well the watch tracks steps. Her response was incredibly rude, and I ended up zoning out because I couldn’t believe how I was being treated despite my politeness.

Realizing that I wasn’t engaging with her disrespectful behaviour, she rudely said, “You’re welcome,” before I walked away to avoid further conversation. Within 15 minutes, I called the store to speak with a manager, as no one was available in-store to help. The store manager I spoke with was very understanding and invited me back for a second experience, which I appreciated. However, I now feel uncomfortable returning to that store.

This was without a doubt, the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I hope this feedback helps improve the service standards for future customers.

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Elijah at the Sherway Gardens store. He is a fantastic Brand Ambassador for Apple. Elijah is knowledgeable, patient, helpful, service-driven, passionate about what he does and did everything possible to ensure I was all set with my new phone set up and connection to my Apple watch as well. He is friendly and super easy to talk with. He also ensured my screen protector was put on my phone properly and sold me some additional accesories I needed. He is super friendly and yet very professional, an absolutely fantastic experience. Thank you Elijah! I wish you all the very best. @Apple Sherway…. promote this fine young man!

y experience at the Apple Store started off promisingly with attentive staff assisting me with my purchase of apple watch series 9. However, my satisfaction quickly plummeted post-payment. Upon requesting Apple setup and feature explanation, the staff began the setup process but abruptly left me waiting without any communication. Instead, they engaged with other customers, leaving me feeling neglected and uninformed. Such unprofessional behavior tarnished what could have been a positive experience. I believe the manager was the one who told the staff member to approach other customer and he just left by telling me nothing!!
