Very disappointing experience from ‘Apple’ at this store yesterday. I took back my 30 day old iPhone 15 pro, which had already been diagnosed as having three faults on the camera (including an authentication’ issue)
Because the phone was brought through Argos (brand new and boxed), they were not interested in helping resolve this issue, referring me, instead, back to the place of purchase.

Whilst I understand this to some degree, if I were in their position, I would have simply exchanged the phone. Firstly, it would be good custom and practice as my experience of this flagship phone has been poor at less than thirty days old.

Secondly, I would want to have the unit looked over at the very earliest opportunity in case this was an issue that may affect other users / phones. Remember, this is a hardware issue and an ‘authentication’ issue.

Personally, I don’t use Apple for my mobile phone needs. That said, my sons do. Whilst I have never really been a fan of Apple I have always thought that their customer service and phone reliability was good. In fact, the online diagnosis was carried out very well indeed. But what is the point of all of this if they do not see the issue through at the earliest opportunity? This would have been a really easy win. If it had been me working in that store, I would have escalated this to the service manager for he or she to make a decision.

Very, very disappointing experience which could have so easily been avoided had any level of common sense been applied.

couldn’t have sounded even more bored and dreary, no one even came up to help me with my ourchase. instead when asked by a colleague of another section to come help me the team at the front that was stood in a huddle doing nothing all turned and stared at me for a couple of seconds ??! instead of using their customer service skills and quickly coming over to help, so appalled by my whole visit, sadly needed an item so I had to buy it else would’ve never brought anything in such a hostile environment. I visited Apple in West Quay today as my son wanted the complimentary demo of the new Vision Pro. We hadn’t booked and they fitted us both in without an appointment which was great. The demonstration of this amazing product is both extensive and fun albeit a little mind blowing. Imagine both eyes seeing 4k each eye, the images are astounding, and add to this the two older gentlemen who hosted the demos who were charming and knowledgeable, we left speechless. I’d highly recommend visiting this store and trying the Vision Pro. You won’t believe your eyes!
