My laptop died abruptly over the long weekend and no one in town was open to take a look at it. I had my suspicions about what the problem was, but wanted a second opinion before I invested in a repair or another pc altogether.

Not only did Gino take my call during off-hours, but he was able to look at my laptop right away and advise me on repair costs, etc. all free of charge! (Diagnostics are free as per their website, but I was still so relieved) I chose to forego repairs and am now able to move forward with finding a replacement, confident that it’s the right decision.

Gino was friendly and laughed with me and made me feel so much better about everything, despite the devastation that comes with losing a laptop hahaha

While I was in store, I talked to another kind patron who shared that they’ve been going here for years and will never go anywhere else, and after my experience, I definitely share the sentiment.

Recovered my STOLEN that morning MacBook Pro from their store. (Had find my MacBook turned on to make noise and had message on screen “Stolen, call for cash reward, no questions”) Never got their names but middle aged Asian dude and guy who looks like the alien with the pug from MIB. They had purchased “just the screen” from a crackhead minutes before but he apparently walked out with the $60 as they were so kindly disassembling it for him to have an alibi for buying a stolen computer without a pawn license. Parts are apparently aloud. I busted them and recorded the whole thing. They had the gall to suggest I buy it back from them as some other woman had done in the past. My computer was stolen from my truck. Most people keep laptops in their homes with families. Do not support a business that encourages breakins and preys on addicts. I see they are still here, going to talk to RCMP again about pressing charges.

Hard pass.I went in to ask some questions regarding part availability and lead time. The guy at the front seemed annoyed that I was even there. I’m not asking for red carpet service but it would be nice not to feel like an inconvenience while looking for a store to drop a fair amount of money on a new gaming rig. I’m sure the cable that was suddenly the most important thing in the world was fascinating, but maybe when a person introduces themselves you could consider doing the same in return.
I’d prefer to support a local business, unfortunately it won’t be Bargain Bytes.
