Tired of this place and having issues with everything I buy from here. Bought a couple of new computer monitors last weekend after returning my last Best Buy-purchased monitor because it had a column of dead pixels on the screen directly where the power button is on the back (tf kind of design is that, Samsung?), kept them boxed up until our wall mounts were installed and now that I’ve mounted one of them, noticed a dent in it. Brand new and already going to have to return it and use the warranty that you have to pay for on each replacement. This will be my 4th visit regarding this monitor fiasco: 1st to return the old one, 2nd time to check on the repair/return because I was told it’ll be approximately a month and that time had already passed with no word from BB, 3rd time to come in and use my in-store credit (old monitor was deemed unrepairable) to get 1 of the 2 new ones, and now a 4th time to return the replacement monitor because it has a dent out of the box. I’m so frustrated I don’t even want to come back in with this one. I’m just going to be told it has to be sent to the manufacturer, I have to wait another month, only to be given in-store credit that won’t cover the warranty I’ll have to purchase for the replacement of the replacement monitor. Get me out of this loop.

Not sure why they even have a telephone number attached to their google maps. I called this number at best buy to ask about whether they had an item on display (I’ve visited 2 other best buys which didn’t.) So to save time I called to ask. French sounding rep put me on hold and then simply hung up. 2nd rep who picked up said they can’t know whether the store has display as they aren’t located in that store. So I asked them to transfer me to the store so I could find out. She said sorry the Cambie location doesn’t take phone calls, they are too busy helping customers that are physically in store so you’ll have to go there yourself to ask.

Lol….Sure let me drive 30 mins there to just to find out…

Its also hilarious when they say “too busy with other customers” As if I wasn’t one. Well after this experience I’m definitely not one! Buy your TV elsewhere!

I recently had a frustrating experience at a large, well-organized store that had plenty of staff but seemed to lack attentive customer service. The employees were often gathered in small groups, chatting and using their phones. When I asked for help, some didn’t seem familiar with the store layout and couldn’t provide the assistance I needed. In one instance, I was directed to a product only to be told that the staff member couldn’t help me with it. This experience led me to take my business elsewhere, spending $400 at Canadian Tire instead. I’m left wondering how this store manages to retain customers and generate profits with this level of service. It’s unlikely that I’ll return to spend money there in the future.
