Disappointing Customer Service

I visited the Best Buy store in Vaudreuil today to have my speaker repaired under the Best Buy protection plan that I had paid extra for. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

The employee, Alex P., refused to provide the service because I no longer had the USB cable that originally came with the speaker. He claimed it was written in the policy. When I asked him to show me where it was stated, he spent 15 minutes searching on his phone, only to come up empty-handed. Another employee joined the search, but they couldn’t find any such clause either.

Despite this, Alex remained adamant and unyielding. His response was, “Show me where it isn’t written!” This dismissive and rude attitude left me frustrated and disappointed.

When I requested to speak with a manager, the situation didn’t improve. The manager was rude, cutting me off while I tried to explain the issue. Instead of addressing the protection plan, she printed off the return policy for me to read–even though this was clearly a protection plan matter.

Overall, I’m deeply dissatisfied with the service I received. Best Buy needs to improve its communication and adherence to policies. As a loyal customer, I expected better. this will be my last BestBuy purchase ever

I recently bought a set of washer dryer, only to receive a dryer that had an obvious manufacture defect and it was “hidden” with blue tape. Thank god the delivery guys noticed it. Requested an exchange. The second machine was delivered to the wrong address, 1 hour away from where my actual address is (after delivering the washer to the right address a week earlier?) I called upset because I am leaving on vacation tomorrow. Magically, they were able to reschedule the second attempt the next day, so I agreed and pushed back the departure time of my vacation to accommodate this, as i have been without clean laundry for 3 weeks now and need clean clothes for this vacation. On the agreed delivery date, 2 guys show up for an installation of a dryer… without the dryer in hand! Now I have to cancel my trip so I can be home for the next available delivery. When the agent on the phone found out I bought the set of machines from Best Buy in Vaudreuil, they were not at all surprised by the mistakes stating that it was a common reoccurrence for them. And yep! Look at the other comments!!

Edit : THEY ACTUALLY CANCELLED MY NEW DELIVERY DATE SO I CANCELLED MY VACATION FOR NO REASON.

BEST BUY more like WORST BUY

Quebec max occupation limit is enforced at the store. The disinfectant bottle is extremely small. An employee took off his face shield while talking to me. Thankfully he had a mask on. Lots of socializing among employees behind the counter. Customers don’t seem to be a priority. Waited 10 minutes in the cell phone department until someone came buy to ask a question. The cashier was super nice and had a great attitude. Lots of items are overpriced and geared towards ripping off people who aren’t tech savy. $59 for a CAT 6 network cable is robbery, any decent retailer shouldn’t charge more than $25 for it.
