After receiving the automated response from customer service to this review, and calling the suggested phone number, Best Buy representative told me I would receive a call from them in 24 hours.
That was more than a month ago. Nothing from them. Their customer service it is a joke.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Best Buy Scarborough (480 Progress Ave., Scarborough, ON), particularly with the Appliance Department. Future customers, be warned and avoid this store when purchasing an appliance. The service here is extraordinarily poor.

A few days ago, I purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Best Buy Scarborough. It was a floor model, and on three separate occasions, I specifically requested that the store staff ensure the power cord was included and shipped with the dishwasher. Each time, I was reassured that it was taken care of.

When the appliance finally arrived, there was no power cord. Frustrated, I called the store, and was told they would investigate what happened. The person in charge of the Appliance Department at Best Buy Scarborough promised to call me back within 24 hours. However, I never received their call or any follow-up communication.

This kind of service is unacceptable. If you are considering purchasing an appliance, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Best Buy Scarborough. Their lack of attention to detail and failure to follow through on promises are clear indicators of their poor customer service standards.

For a better shopping experience, choose another store that values its customers and delivers on its promises. Best Buy Scarborough has lost my business for good.

Terrible experience with Best buy. I recently purchased kithchen appliances from this location and used installation services. Installation service time was scheduled one month before itself. Scheduled appointment was on long weekend and it is one for Sunday and one for Monday. Since it was long weekend, I doubted technician might not come and called customer care number on Saturday and it was confirmed that he wil come. I cancelled my long weekend plans and waited for the technicians and I have called two/three times daily to get the installation done. One of the executive told me that he don’t know when it is going to happen. Finally Dishwasher technician came after 36hrs of scheduled time(Monday 6pm, instead of Sunday 7AM),he did the installation but he didn’t remove any of the new unit package waste. Now I need to take care of all those waste. Secondly, now I am waiting for the microwave to be installed. Calling daily two/three times to available customer care numbers, but no luck so far. Poor response from the customer care executives. It is loss of my money and time, especially with the long weekend plans

I have already contacted Best Buy customer care many times and each time I received a case number saying it will be resolved within 3 business days. Recent case number is 21444536. If required, I can share remaining case numbers as well.

This is a review for Best Buy Canada online shopping, not this particular location. We purchased Insignia 13.8 upright freezer from them. Defective upon delivery. Displaying E6 code on front display and all functions not available. Nightmare and terrible customer service calling them to request to pick it up and refund us. 3 days later still no response from them by email as they assured us on the phone. No explanation why a brand new unit is defective upon delivery. Read a lot of reviews about Insignia freezers, people call them terrible. Be aware and stay away.
