Best Buy in milton | Best Phone, Laptop, and Computer Repair Services at Affordable Prices | Quick Fixes

Went to the geek squad of this store with my Pixel 7 phone with a display issue. Not impressed with the quality of the service. I was told I couldn’t be helped at store and need to call a number instead. I asked him how I can call service, if I can’t use my phone and this is the precise reason why I came to the store to get help.

After few minutes, some other staff walked in and told the guy to help me by filling the form online but that did not go well either. I was basically told that even though i have protection plan, I would be charged money for repair + they would hold like $1000 deposit. Overall not happy with the store service and their protection plan/insurance. When I purchased the plan, I was told that if there were any issues with the phone, it would be replaced with no question asked.

When I went online to file a claim, it said that a deposit of $900+ will be held and I will be charged a repair fee of $216+ tax and this whole process will take few weeks. It also said back up all my data. (How could I even do that if I can’t see the display and login. So basically, they cannot help me). I cancelled my plan promptly and next day asked 2 local stores for repair. One store replaced the screen for $281.37 in less than 2 hours. I am never buying protection plan from best buy due to poor support and the protection plan that is quite useless.

Bought Elden Ring as a “Brand New” game but the case was seemingly glued shut and when I opened it there was an OLD DVD in the case. When I brought it back to Best Buy less than 24 hours later I didn’t even make it in the door before the two young guys working told me they wouldn’t refund or exchange it and that I had to contact PlayStation directly since it’s a manufacturer defect…? Went to Best Buy in London later to find out they would have returned it no problem without any questions asked and that the gentlemen at the Milton location were avoiding doing the work. The 2 guys working Feb 25th at the front desk around 11-11:30am should be spoken to on how to deal with customers and potentially to worry less about socializing and more about store policy/working. Cost the store sales too as I had multiple items to purchase.

Want to shout out Marco from Geek Squad who helped my son and I on his 9th bday with questions regarding a laptop of choice. He acknowledged the amount of time we waited, despite how long I flagged for help – he came through and truly helped me from beginning to the end with grace.

Marco delivers excellent customer service, naturally. We walked out with a happy purchase. Thank you Marco for your excellent customer service, you deserve some credit and acknowledgement because you turned our sour experience with the wait time into a good one at the end of the day, without even realizing it.
