By far out of all the reviews I have made , I’ve had the worst experience here. Just because one of the employees was extremely judgemental. I don’t usually write names of people, but your employee Ryan’s (or Bryan, I don’t clearly remember) behavior was disgusting (I think he is a senior employee or a manager cause he seemed like he is training someone). I was talking to this guy about financing and he was like ” I will only discuss it if you have plans of buying it”. Well, I don’t think I would be coming to your store, if I don’t have a plan to buy something.

I understand that he doesn’t want me to open a box, but I don’t know what kind of an employee won’t allow me to hold the box and see the specs of the item listed when he clearly does it for other people. Just because one thought I can’t afford it doesn’t mean one can act like it. I asked him to give me the details and he told me to ‘see it for myself’ by looking it up. And to top it all off, he told the cashier to make sure that the item ‘has been fully paid for ‘ before letting me touch it. Both me and my friend knew exactly what was up. All other employees including Laura, the cashier, were amazing. What astonishes me is that this guy doesn’t have any issues explaining stuff to other people. If you don’t wanna serve your guests, don’t take up this job bro. Let me shop in peace.

And to best buy, being in customer service for quite long, I can assure you, even a 10 year old can do a better job than this guy RYAN cause they wont judge. I still bought your item cause I don’t have to worry about some …… behaviour.

I was helped by Danielle when I brought my phone for repair. I had already tried to initiate the service through their website and also by phone in many occasions, with no luck at all. I had triend for two weeks and I was getting nowhere. I went to the store in Barrie and I was told they could not help me either, and that I should try online again. Luckily one of the members of the Geek Squad called Danielle to help him. She tried doing the claim online herself, and got the same “error” message that I got before. She decided to call the “Protection Plan” department herself as well, buy she was getting the same message as I was, instructing her to file a claim online… It was so frustrating… She did not stop there, however. She called back again until she was able to speak with an actual person, who finally initiated my claim. Needles to say, Danielle was incredibly helpful, and she was the only person willing to go the extra mile to actually get a positive result. She even gave me her work email, to reach out in case the claim did not go through, which happened to be the case. I emailed her and she got back to me within an hour, even though she was not at work that day. She even emailed me back the day after that, to see if I still needed her. Best buy is lucky to have her and I was lucky that she was working the day I went in.

I went into the the Barrie South store to look for a new cell phone. I currently have a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra & was considering the S24 series. After standing at the display comparing the phones for 15mins, somebody finally asked if I need help. I told the rep what I was looking for & asked if there was an S24+ that was not locked into the security cradle. I wanted to check the weight and see how it felt in my hand. I was told no!!! So, I am to make a $1200 – $1700 dollar decision without being able to hold the phone. Ridiculous!! I walked out and went to another store in the same plaza, they let me properly look at the phone & I gave them my money! Best Buy used to be a great place to shop… I guess they don’t really want business anymore. I guess I look like a thief!
