I got the portable charger on June 2023, (HELIX PWRBNK 16), recently it is not working as it does not charge my phone properly.

Luckily I got the 2-year warranty, so I went to the Source shop with my receipt to got claim, and the retail guy told me that I didn’t need to come, the only thing to do is the phone the number on my receipt, and they would send me a label, and I gonna send the product with the label through Canada Post, the team gonna looked it up, they either gonna fix it for me or they gonna send me a new one if they cannot fix it.

Which I did later on June 5th, Wednesday, and the guy on the phone told me the same story, which was nice, but he told me they gonna confirm with manufacture and put the product information into the system, which eventually would take some time, and if they did not phone me back on Friday, I gonna need to call them back.

In which I did since they didn’t call me back after that. But the second call on next week I made ( on June 11, Tuesday) disappointed me: they said they only gonna take it back, but they neither gonna fix it nor send me a new one, but they just gonna reimburse me the price of the charger I bought, which was 44.99 CAD, but I paid 65.23 at the time of the purchase, (item + 2-year warranty + tax).

I was pretty mad since the crew and team tell me two different stories and rejected their own statements in very short time. And I am not getting a full reimbursements .

So for people who’s gonna buy warranty at source, please be advised the solution they provide might not be what you expected.

Very sleek and clean looking source. Overall, friendly and helpful staff. The person who helped me find the Nintendo switch game, took some time to find it as it seems the floor display said it was sold out. However she went to check in the back and it was there as I had indicated on the online site that it was available.

At the end of the day the game was found and it was fine. Everyone is being as cautious as they can with sanitizer and mask combos and additional cleaning. Standard shield between the customer and the checkout.

The vitriol from other raters, not sure it’s really that necessary. To be honest, pretty much everyone has access to research and to figure things out. Can’t blame the staff fully. I’m sure in some instances maybe…but not everyone will know everything and going there really is about confirming what you know visually.

The gentleman of This location (The Source) in Metrotown displayed Amazing customer service today. I came into The Source with a few questions about upgrading my Samsung phone. I noticed my phone was almost dead and had a concert in Vancouver that night, they fully charged my phone + answered all of my questions about the s22 Plus. I had a chance to look around these guys have all the good stuff! Phones, head phones, games, every plug and wire ,TVs, computers, Awsome store thanks guys
