Boulanger has improved a great deal over the past 6 years that I’ve been going to this store. They have a lot more items to chose from, their store has adequate space for everything they sale, items are mostly in stock, and being that I just visited during the Christmas season (busiest time of year) I was happy to see that they had enough staff to accommodate the crowds. I needed to ask 3 or 4 different sales people about items I was interested in, but in different areas of the store. All the sales people I encountered were helpful and two of them even went way out of their way to find an answer for me when they didn’t know what the answer was. I like the up to date selection on electronic items. They’ve really improved in this area. Their sections in the store are categorized correctly so you know exactly where to go to find what you are looking for. They carry a lot of different marks of the same item so you have choices. They also have display panels for certain electronic items to give you a quick run down of what the item does for you. I like that. Their home entertainment area is good, too. The one downside is that their prices are not competitive at all. Most items you can find online for the same price and some are even cheaper. It’s good to be in the store if you are a touchy feely person and want to see what the product does or looks like first-hand, but prices could be more competitive. Overall I was happy with my shopping experience.
The shop is nice… Too bad because of most of the people who work there.
There are 5 categories:
1. The ones who look at you, see it is your turn, turn away and chat with the colleagues about nothing => you need to call them a few times.
2. The ones who ignore you and pretend they are busy looking at other colleagues’s monitors.
3. The ones who tell you: don’t touch the product / don’t try the product.
4. (my favourite ones) The “experts”: after you are being told not to touch a product, you ask them “how does this work” and then comes the answer “well / so … this button… or maybe. this… oh wait… aaa… I don’t know.”
5. The ones who need 10 minutes to give you an invoice.
Other than that, everything is perfect for those who want to waste time there and not but anything.
I forgot about the 6th type of employee: the one who ignores you (because you want to buy a 250 euro product) to go chat with someone for 10 minutes about a product that costs 700 euro (of course that guy just said thank you and left).

What do you think: did i buy anything?..
friendly enough, good service when we bought appliances.
BUT – do not take your Apple products for Apple Care repairs here. Find your way to an Apple Store – nearest currently are in Aix-en-Provence, Marseille or Cap 3000 near Nice airport.
While they are listed as an approved service center the process they have with Apple is tortuous:
reported damaged cable (under AppleCare with MacBook Pro) to Apple, got case number, told to go to Boulanger, handed in a cable, a few dqys later. got text telling me they had sent it to Apple for processing.
After more than an hour on the phone with Apple (they could not help), then with Boulanger call center, was told that it could take weeks to get this case resolved.
Apple has to approve a replacement, send hte replacement to the store, who will then tell me to pick it up there.
CRAZY process, so not customer-friendly.
Apple should not get into deals like this.
All call center staff are friendly, but the French ones do not fail to point out that “those are the policies, you can read them online”
