Was looking for new phone as battery capacity was low and wasn’t holding charge.
Chap in shop convinced me that having a new battery would fix issue so left phone with him.
Picked up phone, checked battery. Was only at 12% but showed 100% capacity so seemed okay.
Unfortunately as I was in a rush I didn’t check anything else.
Noticed later that the display now has a yellow line around edge of display and a number of large dark blobs which stand out on a light background.
About an hour later the home button stopped functioning.
Looked at more of the functions and the camera is now always out of focus.
Went back to the shop and pointed these issues out.
First I was told the yellow was on the screen protector. It wasn’t.
Next I was told I must have shorted it using a 3rd party charger. I use a genuine Iphone charger.
Next I was told it was water damage.
If this was the case then the shop must have done this as the damage wasn’t there before.
Left out of pocket and the battery seems worse that the one they replaced with regard to holding charge.
Rubbish service. Rubbish attitude.
The person who opened my laptop to check its parts and installed a new component was very kind and patient. He even gave my laptop a bit of a brush to clean some dust off. He also offered to order parts for me because I couldn’t find them anywhere as of that moment. Would definitely recommend this place when in need of installment, repair, or new gadgets (they sell a few).
