After reinitializing my computer, I had a sum of problems which led me to think I needed a W10 reinstallation. As I am a home student and really need my computer, I decided not to take risks and take it to this shop, just in case I was wrong and the problem was elsewhere. Installing W10 is completely automatic nowadays, and I could easily do it myself, after buying it for 20 – 30EUR on the net.
Nevermind : I go there, explain the situation and after taking my computer, the guy tells me : “Well, we can do it today if you pay an extra 20EUR. Otherwise it will be in 10 days”. I was already astonished it would take them take 10 days to do a 1 hour update and at this point I should already have turned back. But as I said, I need a working computer for my studies, and agreed to pay the extra.
Coming back to pick it up, the guy hands me the note : 73EUR, arguing they had installed everything, and all the new updates. But no : 73EUR just for inserting the W10 CD, chose the language (not even mine), press space. Nothing else. They did not even install the newest drivers. Looking at the note, I discovered they had charged me the whole 1h30 installation as active work from their technicians when only my computer had been working for them. How do I know this ? Well, I come home, turn on my computer, and notice the keyboard respond in QWERTZ, when the integrated one is a AZERTY (I’m french).
Well thank you, I shall take a great pleasure to not recommand your shop to anyone I know. I surely hope you will eventually learn to have a healthy relationship to your customers, not the predatory – capitalistic one you seem to be accustomed to.
