In January 2023, I reported to a repair shop that my laptop’s motherboard was broken, as determined by another expert. The shop insisted that the motherboard was fine, without even checking it, and promised to find and fix the problem within two weeks. However, after two weeks, they informed me that they had ordered a replacement fan, which might take anywhere from one month to one year to arrive, and that I was lucky because other customers had been waiting since 2022. I reminded them of their two-week promise, which they dismissed, and their boss denied any responsibility.

Two-Three months later, they replaced the fan, but my laptop stopped working within five minutes. They then claimed that the hard disk was the problem and asked me to wait for another month, even though I asked them not to order anything until I confirmed. They went ahead and ordered the hard disk anyway, and when I objected, they said that they didn’t keep items in stock and that I would have to pay for it. I had no choice but to wait for another month.

After replacing the hard disk, they told me that the motherboard was the problem all along, and that the hard disk was fine. It took them five months to discover what I had told them on day one. I asked for a refund, which they eventually provided, but it took another month to receive it. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

I can not reply you back on your answer so I decided to reply after my first review

a) If you hire an employee that deals with customers and charges customer and makes fake promises by working under your supervision, then you cant just say “I DONT KNOW HIM” as you said to me
b) I took my laptop to my home (distance is 15 minutes from your shop) and I called back you as soon as I arrived home that it stopped working. your employee picked up the phone and told me to visit again and I visited on same day (NOT AFTER FEW DAY, SIR) and he told me to leave laptop for a day to get 100% working laptop by tomorrow. Next day, he quit the job and I talked to you and you told me that I don’t know him. You checked my laptop and told me that it is hard disk problem. not a FAN problem. You did not determine at that time that it is motherboard. You ordered hard drive that took one month and then you realize after one month that it is not even hard disk but it is mother board. APPRECIATED !!!
C) You did not change hard disk so it is not in your paper work. But you told me after FAN replacement that it is hard disk problem. I told you not to order until specific time but you ordered and made me wait for a month. I asked your technician to cancel order and he told me that we already ordered hard disk and If you do not need it, then you do not need to worry. We will keep it for ourselves and you DENIED him also and his remarks and said “I DONT KNOW ANYTHING” and you told me that I have to pay for it. He is working under you in your premises, it means he is authorized to deal.
d) It does not matter that if my laptop is refurbished or I use indian cord. I got problem and I came to see you and wasted my six months just to find out that mother board has problem.
e) I APPRECIATE YOUR FREE CORD GIFT SIR. I came back to return it but you said its gift so I kept it. I highly appreciate this act of generosity.
f) You reimbursed me in full after waiting for one month. I also appreciate this sir. No objection
g) I did not understand your EXPERTISE. You did proper diagnosis in 5 months after improper diagnosing FAN, HARD DISK. Mr. Robotics on King Est did this diagnosis on my laptop in just 2 days before I visited you. I just visited you afterwards for confirmation of his work. Your technician said at that time that he is wrong and I will do proper diagnosis. NOW this proper diagnosis took 5 months in your shop after improper diagnosing FAN, HARD DISK.
h) Again, you are blaming my laptop, cord, friend etc. It is out of question. I came to fix my laptop and not to discuss that my cord was not good etc.

My laptop refused to access Wifi. I was desperate. I went to Centre Reparatech and was met by a very polite young man named Aden. He did some techy stuff and restarted my computer, turned to me and said,” You’re good to go, I reinstalled your drivers.”
Less than 5 minutes! I’m sure in Toronto it would have taken a week.
