Bought an xbox series x last year (2023) online. Controller went wonky so e-mailed customer services. They asked me where my nearest store was, I said Scunthorpe and they told me if I took it there they would replace it. I tried to phone the store but it directs you to the website. Was sure it would be a wasted journey and the staff wouldn’t know what I was talking about. However, proved wrong as I went today and they replaced controller after checking mine over. Have tried it and it is working fine. All staff were great, especially Shannon who dealt with me. Have used CEX a lot in the past and will continue to do so.

Staff I have met in there are friendly enough and know what they are talking about, store is a little run down, you may find some bargains in there but always check at Game first to be sure as they have discounts much better on some occasions. Standard trade in policy, Me “I have 200 dvds, a playstation 5 and the holy grail” cashier “ahh nice, I can give you PS3.75” try selling on eBay first or Facebook, use trade in as a last resort.

Took an item in to sell that had been reset and checked thoroughly by myself prior to sale. Told us it would be 40 minutes to check it. We waited around for 40 minutes and was told that it was faulty and that they couldn’t accept it. Took it to cash converters and it was properly checked in front of us and worked perfectly as I knew it would and they gave us the same amount of money. Only upside is that the staff were friendly.
