They price things by popularity, not tech or retail.

I seen a guy in there spending ~PS230 on a pre-owned, partially scratched Switch when I was there. You can literally go to (insert shop here) and pick up a brand new one for PS215. I had to stop myself from telling the man cos his kids were clearly excited and I didn’t wanna ruin someone’s day.

CEX used to be the go-to place for pre-owned tech but not so much anymore. I don’t know if they put too much into expansion or staff or what, maybe it’s just greed, but the prices for PRE-OWNED things are wildly overinflated.

Great place/company to buy your tech. Trade in your old stuff which feels good (doing my bit for the environment) and get a newer version if available good prices on some goods even a two year warranty, I always find the staff helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating definitely my go to store when I want to upgrade. They also have a virtual store if you cannot find what you want locally, I have used this also with the same level of service.

Bought a desktop computer that clearly hasn’t been wiped as when we turned it on, it’s asking for a password for some random person’s account! Thought part of their testing and resale process was to wipe the item before putting it out for sale!! Very poor and will be going back to complain as it is absolutely disgusting that we’ve paid all this money to not even be able to use the thing!
