I purchased an item which had no charge, I was then informed that there was no code needed to get into the device. Once charged there was a code needed, which they did not know, once they gained contact from their head office the code supplied did not work Sadly they would not give me another phone or return my money.
The reason for no exchange or refund was due to the possibility that I had put in a code and forgotten it and tried to in some way save time by getting the Cex team to unpick for me. Even though in my wait I witnessed another person with exactly the same issue , which luckily for them the code supplied by Cex worked. I was then told after waiting an hour It would be best to go to Apple to ask them could they find a way to reset. which as we all know is a three hour wait if you’re lucky.
After an hour they asked very politely to come back in a day, so I left the store without the phone in the hope they can sort.
In the end I told the very nice manageress that I did not blame her in anyway, but her customer company service policy was abhorrent and Cex have not complied with Trading Standard regulations and Consumer Law. From now on I will be taking my trade to CASH CONVERTERS

I walked into the shop ready to exchange my three games (one with a limited edition book that I no longer wanted) and was served by a very kind chap.
Sadly I did not get the staff members name nor could I find it on my recite.

Regardless – I think I made that nav’s day (based on the fact that when I handed in the limited edition game many of the people behind me became intrigued).
Hopefully my games will give those people much joy as they did me.

The smartwatch I purchased under a year ago became faulty and the ‘tester’ found no fault. I re-demonstrated the fault to the ‘tester’ after the test had taken place and they then said they couldn’t process the refund because of ‘physical damage’ which was wear and tear to the watch strap which was visible when I purchased the item (as it was a grade C purchase).
