I am really disgusted with the service I have received from high Wycombe branch. I took 7 items in to store on Sunday and they were checked over and I was quoted PS97 which they said they would bank transfer to me as they had not got time to test them all but was told should not be a problem as they were all switched on and set back to factory settings. Two members of staff looked over them.
Today (Tuesday) I was called to say that the price had decreased to PS37! as 3 of the items were damaged. These could only have been damaged in the store as none of them were damaged before. One of the items was virtually brand new and in the box! I find it very suspicious that the most expensive item I took in was suddenly damaged.
I feel totally deceived. If I had known that they would be damaged I would not have left the store but the manager said she would not be able to process them until after the weekend.
I suggest you take photos of any items you leave in store as proof of condition.
I will never use CEX again. No response from their Customer Service

Thanks for your reply but after the initial response from your colleague I have not heard anything further. Guess that’s the end of my complaint I even sent proof of one device that was refused for not charging clearly charged and not losing power.
Staff clearly lying! Just didn’t want to pay out!
I ordered an item online and sadly the wrong one came amongst others which were correct. I visited the store and I was very impressed at the customer services. The gentleman Jacob was fantastic and a breath of fresh air to be looked after by. Friendly but also professional and he seemed to want to help me get the best outcome. I also looked in the store and have a fantastic range of graphics cards, ram and other PC accessories at really good prices. Will definitely be visiting again for electronics when I need them
Nice electronics shop! bought lots of things here in the past! Only issue is some games can be a bit dirty, and I asked to look at a pair of “A Grade” Google pixel buds and they were full of earwax! As a former employee at this company (at a different store) I know this is not the standard of quality CEX should be providing as A Grade items should be near pristine/new quality… Not full of other people’s earwax.
