Staff are nice but the manager is often/routinely rude and seems to have no problem accusing customers of things – often CEX are in the wrong. Items are usually GOOD it’s just the service! Check carefully any electronic items that could’ve been linked to previous APPLE or GOOGLE IDs to make sure they’ve properly dealt with them. Be careful if you buy a 3G only phone as 3G is going in the next year and the phones will be obsolete (CEX won’t tell you that) (The final switch-off date for 3G in the UK is the end of 2024, but many networks already don’t support 3G anymore). Plus be aware they don’t always check the DEVICE itself to see if an IMEI is clear, rather they can (on occasion) check the box which can lead to incorrect identification of stolen/Free to purchase items! CEX is a great idea and generally products are good, just be wary of SOME of the staff. Sorry to the NICE STAFF who also work here 🙂

I went there with my Apple Macbook working 100%. The guy, he tested everything and said ok and had told me PS499 and told me to come back in an hour. until that was ok he asked for the password and asked to format the computer, then I came back for around 2 more hours and when I came back, he said he couldn’t buy more because the keyboard wasn’t working and when I went to get the computer it didn’t work the space button and the k button they damaged my computer and they let me leave the shop with my damaged computer, I’m going to look for my rights.

Brought in my external SSD to be tested in exchange for a voucher, waited a day only to be told it failed the test because its only showing 30GB storage when its a 500gb SSD. I tested it myself before i came and it was fine. Came home and tested it again and its perfectly fine. Clearly they didn’t bother to test it or the tester does not know what they are doing. I have to say this is the WORST CEX store i have come across, will NEVER sell or buy with this store again. Wasted Journey!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
