Went to the Redhill Store to sell an Amazon Fire TV Stick. The employee serving me informed me he could not accept it, due to the back of the remote coming off too easily as “a part had snapped off”. Accepting this I took it home and replaced the back of the controller with a new back, brand new, nothing snapped off. I took it back to the store to sell it again, as it was now in full working order. The person serving me said “wasn’t you in earlier”, I replied “yes, I have now replaced the back of the controller with a new one” he said “it’s damaged we won’t accept it” and immediately refused to even look at me or say anything further. I said “ok fair enough, but it’s not snapped and it’s fully working, the back of the remote has just been replaced”. He was just looking down at his computer and didn’t even respond to me, or even look at me. Shocked at the level of customer service is an understatement. If he had been doing his job properly he would see the back of the controller had been replaced and nothing snapped off. He just was not interested in the slightest. In a customer facing role a certain standard of customer service should be expected. What I experienced today was the worst level of customer service I have ever faced. If you cannot accept an item, that’s perfectly fine, not a problem, but at least have the decency and respect that you would expect yourself. To be plain ignored and just ending the conversation before the customer has even left the counter is disgraceful. Even worse is to be lied to, the controller back had been replaced, if he had bothered to do his job properly and take the time to inspect the controller, he would of known this. To be treated in this way and not even be acknowledged as I was talking to him is awful. It is my sincere wish that he learn some respect for people. Respect and manners are free. I will never use this store again. In contrast the Crawley store accepted this same item with zero issues. Funny that.

Traded my Xbox one and some old games in here. Got a good price for the Xbox, games were pretty worthless 🙁 items were taken, checked and money paid in 48 hours which I was impressed with. My only criticism would be that I received a couple of quid less for the spare Xbox controller and I don’t know why (I suspect it was due to a faulty battery pack). I think it would be helpful to show to reason for the deduction. No issues with it but would have been good to know why.

Great experience here on a Saturday morning. Went in to get one item specifically and ended up leaving with 6 as had such a good selection on offer and at a great price to. The staff member at the till was helpful and very polite he then offered a little advice about a game I had just purchased and had a chat about one of the film’s also bought. A great show of good customer service will defiantly use these guys again.
